I took the trek through Blood Meridian as well this year. Thoroughly glad I did, it is one of a kind, but it did sap me pretty well after each session. I was still thirsty for his prose afterwards and attempted The Road again. That didn't last, so I followed it up with The Restaurant at the End of the Universe by

Yeah Becca "I can have one" Barbara is far and away the front runner for worst in this show

Finally got to end an episode this season with happy tears! This season has been amazing, but watching it right before bed for the latter half of the season was probably a bad idea.

Aya was the last guest on Andy Greenwald's podcast before Grantland shuttered, and she shares the story of how she was basically about to quit acting when she got the part on "You're the Worst". Her backup plan was an antique store in upstate New York. It's a great interview assuming the link still works

That's probably it, looking over the selections that seems to be the case. Mr. Robot is still streaming on Comcast on Demand which you can access with a USA subscription. I was just thinking since Flesh and Bone is also behind a cable pay wall it might count.

You guys left Mr. Robot out of the Best of 2015 section. You should fix that.

My DVR always catches the end of The League before You're the Worst and then the some of the beginning of the same episode afterwards. I watched that show for about 2 seasons before it got unbearable, so now I catch myself watching these chunks to see if there is any reason that show lasted 7 seasons. As far as I can

I know! I miss the avatar as the worst. Her and Lindsey grappling in the yoga hammocks is still one of the funniest scenes in the show!

Nice! I love it when shows have the time and apparently extra budget to do a companion podcast. This week has both Eve Hewson (Lucy), and Chris Sullivan (Cleary). Vince Gilligan's podcasts for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are also terrific.

I love that the writers have now decided Vernon just has to show up in every episode this season. The best part is it usually feels like he just comes into the gang's story right on the tail of his own Vernon-centric show that we never get to see.

Watching that scene, (which is to my mind one of the most impressive long takes Soderbergh has done so far) I was so mesmerized by AD's sermon that I didn't even notice Soderburgh's wandering camera till about half way around the room. I though to myself what amazing faith he must have in such an actor to center such

Love this. You're the Worst is definitely killing it this season, and this episode was the high water mark. Along with Fargo FX is spoiling us this Fall.

Indeed. It's really impressive how much they've been relying on Chris Geere's very expressive face in this season. I especially loved the shot earlier on when his face falls completely after Gretchen leaves following their "you look tired" conversation, and then capping the episode with the opposite expression was

Saw this movie when it came out on video back then. Don't remember a single joke except for this one. I will never forget how much I laughed back then at that torrent of blood. Shockingly I laughed just as hard just now. There's just so much…

Hell if any show was going use a pie as a symbolic device it'd be this one. And this metaphor works much better than the bagels last season.

Lindelof's reasoning for the cameo makes it even better for me:

Take a drink every time twitter, selfies, texting, or hashtags are awkwardly deployed to explain a convoluted sci-fi premise, or just awkwardly deployed at all.

Sideshow Bob disagrees
"I am presently incarcerated, imprisoned for a crime I did not even commit. "Attempted murder," now honestly, did they ever give anyone a Nobel prize for "attempted chemistry?"

I have sung this song in rock band about a million times, and I believe, in their version of the lyrics at least, it's "pop pop video". It is still really hard for me to sing the song, and not break to join in with the clapping. Goddamn it I love this song.

Ahh that was it thanks! I was planning on going through season 1 again before the premier but haven't gotten the chance. Forrest is frighteningly committed to this then, especially if he'll have someone like Grant "helping" him. God this show is bleak.
