The commentators sucking up to Roman constantly was really irritating.
The commentators sucking up to Roman constantly was really irritating.
Oh I am, and that's precisely the problem.
Why wouldn't it? The length means nothing, the message is still the same. Not that hard to understand really.
The sad thing is, in the comics, there IS an explanation for Caitlin doing morally shady things sometimes. And it still makes her somewhat sympathetic at the same time. Why the show couldn't just go with that, IDK.
Like I said, if they just explained it better, or if Caitlin wasn't the ONLY full-time member of the team with powers, or if the show treated its female characters better (as in well at all) better on the whole, then I might be more ok with this.
They could do something with Charlotte where she's still a heel overall and has a massive ego. She just happens to genuinely like Becky, who's a top babyface.
It's such a freaking cliché. It's basically "she's evil now, because women with power be crazy," which is an overuse cliché as well. And if this show didn't treat it's female characters like crap pretty much across the board, I MIGHT be more forgiving. I mean Future Team
Flash doesn't have a single female in it for…
I think the scene of Team Future Flash reuniting shows the glaring female problem with this show. The fact that they turned Caitlin into an evil schizophrenic, they have a dying Iris, and no other main females just illuminates that something needs to change next season. Now, whether or not THEY have finally pieced it…
I was so irritated that there are no females involved in the future in the Team Flash. And I get it, they're not going to introduce a new character, but not even Gypsy? Ugh, it was so glaring and so annoying. They better save Iris so there's at least one lady on Team Flash.
It really bothers me that Caitlin—and only Caitlin—has a curse associated with her powers that completely overrides her actual personality, desires and morality. Especially since she;s the only female member of the team that has powers. And they refuse to explain WHY it is, which is even worse.
Not as much. And it's still far more interesting to me, simple as that. Also, we got this storyline with Lex on Smallville already.
Not interested. I'm tired of that cliché, and it'd be so freaking predictable.
He also helped out Wilson Fisk as being the Kingpin, if I remember correctly. In Spider-Man TAS, when Peter is framed for a crime, Jameson secretly hires Matt Murdock to be Peter's defense attorney. And in the first Raimi film, when GG shows up looking for Peter, Jameson lies by saying that he doesn't know where…
I'd imagine that Superman takes care of most of the other stuff. So she's free to mostly concentrate on her own city.
I find it less "emotionally rich" and more "cliché as all Hell." As is the whole "female characters getting powers drives them crazy/evil." And yeah, Caitlin being the only female member of the team with powers, and also the only member of the team where they're doing the "powers are turning her evil" thing is,…
I REALLY freaking hope that they don't turn Lena evil (it'd be so predictable and cliché). I'd much prefer that she remain Kara's genuine, if a bit more morally grey, friend.
Jameson, although he can be an A-hole at times, actually has quite a few good qualities (which have been show across multiple mediums, including comics, films, TV, etc). It's what makes him interesting.
And it's weird because they DID make her seem like a big deal early on. When she showed up at Battleground, and then debuted on Raw, the commentators played it up like a big deal that she was there (as did Mick Foley). And they repeatedly referenced her being a "former NXT Women's Champion." And it was pretty clear…
The problem with Charlotte is that WWE seems obsessed with pushing her as the "bestest best ever." And they'll essentially undermine an entire division just to make her look good. And it did Raw's Women's Division no favors. Also, with Charlotte on SD, my hope for Becky ever getting a good payoff/run with the title…
I really hope Alexa doesn't win. Because them pushing Alexa too quickly hurt the SD Women's division overall. And it'd once again sabotage a needed Sasha heel turn.
