I feel like SW is still in beta. A random guy can get lucky with a gun, but a sword, that takes training. Maybe they come with some form of shielding beyond the samurai stuff.

I think it's more misbelief that they won't stop. Remember they tried to make it like a game at the end of the day so it would be like moving into safe zone area, but they all turn on you instantly, like Fallout 3 when you get caught stealing.
