Austin Powers had a budget or $100 million, too. Were the mid 90s on crack?

Ach! Das wagen phone ist ein… nuisance phone!

Smell ya later!

Meine Dispatcher sez there is something wrong mit deine Cable? Meine Name ist Karl, ich bin expert.

It's almost like a troll who has no interest in having a reasonable discussion!

Have you ever read Godbody by Theodore Sturgeon. He wrote the screenplay for "Amok Time" and basically came up with the Prime Directive. Good stuff.

Good points. If you look at my original post, it has nothing to do with this lady, who is being put through the wringer. And seeing the way she is being handled, I can't imagine anyone else stepping up to explain their situation. Personally, I think gender fluidity could be used as a stepping stone to better race

I've said it before and I'll say it again: there is a strain of hatred in feminism, which at times seems justified, but is ultimately disruptive to the goals of sexual equality. If you think showing up with a group of trolls to browbeat everyone who doesn't follow your orthodoxy will further social justice, I'll have

I actually did learn quite a bit from the Neil Young/Monsanto boards today. Of course, when half the people on your side are trolls shouting "Fuck you, hippies! Up with multinational corporations!" it's kind of hard to take it seriously. Some guy kept referring to my yoga pants, it was pretty funny.

I just listened to the How Did this Get Made on it today. They really ripped it to shreds, but at the end, turned around and had a lot of good things to say about it and suggested people go see it. Kind of put it in the same category as Zardoz.

Any thoughts on Jupiter Ascending?

Yup, probably the wrong person to be the face of this issue. Man, if she has had such a shitty life, I can't imagine what all of this media attention is going to do to her.

huh?

So you are saying that only black women are allowed to be the head of the local branch of the NAACP? And that trans* women aren't allowed to be feminists? I sense a lot of anger coming from your position. It seems to me that she is getting hit from both sides: some people think she isn't black enough and the rest

Judgment of any system, or a priori relationship or phenomenon exists in an irrational, or metaphysical, or at least epistemological
contradiction to an abstract empirical concept such as being, or to be, or to occur in the thing itself, or of the thing itself.

I can understand why people who are treated badly would be filled with anger. But if someone chooses to join ranks with the downtrodden and be persecuted and then chooses a path seeking to right that injustice, well, it almost seems beatific. Of course, I haven't really heard anything this particular woman has said,

What is that supposed to mean?
