"Hard work". Oh dear.

I think the show loses a lot with this reveal. How is Supergirl going to continue being Cat's assistant? Good-bye to all the humor inherent in Kara having to take Cat's orders because she's her boss. Now they are basically equals. What are they going to do? Team up against evil? What actually had some extra dimensions

I have no love (or even like) for Donald Trump. But how I wish AV Club was about 75% less political. It is incredibly tiresome and uninteresting. Yes, it is almost impossible to discuss the arts without delving into the politics of the work, but that is entirely different then constantly advocating for particular

It's not feminism per se, but politics. While you certainly cannot discuss a show like this without considering politics, authors almost always have a difficult time overcoming their own biases to explore the messages in a show from a neutral point of view. This is an important distinction, because the review,

" I’ve enjoyed Evelyne Brochu as a sleek villainess more than anyone"

"Calvin And Hobbes was never about hyperactivity and Hobbes himself was never a manifestation of undiagnosed mania"

On the flip side, it doesn't seem there's much to be gleaned from a review by a critic that hated the source material, especially in this case, where it was really unlikely that the film would veer very far away from the source.

I have no idea what there is to not like about the original 'Airport'. Fun, soapy melodrama professionally shot and performed with conviction by a fine cast. One of the best book-to-movies of all time. Serious art? No. But does it need to be?

Wow. There's like 4 numb-nuts out there that had a problem with this film's masculine/feminine balance (or whatever the issue is), and that is all any article about this film can go on about. Nothing like giving idiots the biggest megaphone possible. Or is it about an opportunity to light the torches, grab the

.00002% (if that) of the population has it's undies in a bunch over the supposed "feminist agenda" in Mad Max, but every freaking article about it has to bring it up. Hard to tell where the problem is here… those who want to complain about hidden agendas in movies or those who want to find idiots to complain about.

Word's out; we're all supposed to like this one. You don't think any of these people actually think for themselves, do you? If a critic wants to remain relevant, he sticks with the program on the big ones.

The prisoners' reaction to the "just to see him die" line in Folsum Prison Blues was added in the mix.

Scrubs.

"Is the view of the forest at the end of the episode real? It can’t be, can it? I’m trying to wrap my head around the future presented here. "

This thing looked dated 2 weeks after it was released.

"Louise is just a generally enthusiastic, pleasant, somewhat silly person, and Madeline is a bored troublemaker (but also not particularly malicious)."

"Close quarters appear to be the key to exciting action sequences on this show"

Kind of a rush job. The half-finished death star seen from the surface of whatever planet that was does not move properly with the camera movement. It's just a stuck-in superimposition.

It's really difficult to believe Manny doesn't speak fluent Spanish. What would Gloria have spoken to him throughout his infancy, and then whenever she was alone with him?

Seconds after I wrote that I realized that, yeah, I could see solid reasons for doing away with outer space aspect of the origin. Just so it's some kind of experiment of Reed's gone awry I think we're ok.
