He'll always be Tommy MacKenzie to me.

I spent the entirety of the episode just wishing she wouldn't show up. She's an alright character but only in very small doses - and last week we had an entire episode for her and Jackson so that was enough April for at least a couple of years. I used to dislike Catherine, but if she manages to lead her

Yeah. Maybe I just love Cristina too much but just the fact Amelia mentioned her name made me like the episode as a whole - it was worth it.

Or not introduce new characters - perhaps a couple but no more. Grey's has a character overload. At their prime, they only had the five core interns plus two residents, four attendings and the chief - add to that the medical cases, the patients of the week and the occasional satellite love interest (Denny, Ava and so

She moaned about Jackson allegedly letting her be rude… you'd think the real question she should be asking herself should be, 'why was I being such an arse?' Nevermind the cancer - she just had no reason to talk to her mum that way, not on this episode and not on her previous appearance.

You could see where that plot was going from the second they showed up, and it still landed powerfully. Even with predictable trite writing, those two actors sell it. True pros.

I actually liked the episode: good direction (courtesy of Mr McKidd), no Kepner, extraordinary guest actors, no Kepner, no Minnick, no Kepner, Owen was - as in the good old days - a three-dimensional character for almost two minutes (that's more than the last two years combined), no Kepner, no Murphy, no Kepner, there

Well… they keep dragging the main melodramatic plot for way too long. Lessed than three a few one-liners and was sort of keen on the double entendre, but that was it.

Sadie Harris was an intern who was falling behind and subsequently resigned. I remember her because the actress is stop-eating hot. Not a large part, but arguably more important than Reed Adamson (who was indeed killed off).

Just to be pedantic: Burke, Yang, Torres, Stevens, Hahn, Ross, Harris, Montgomery, Altman, Jones, Pope and Blake all left without dying. Of course, then there are many who did, but it's still fairly balanced overall.

Are they truly reunited though? I suppose we'll find out soon but, so far, it could've been a booty call and nothing more … although, again, it's Kepner - I think she's too far along at this point to try revirginising again, ain't she?

It made me cry tears of joy. I love Valentine's Day and I love V-day episodes. This one had it all: a colossal punomenon, some fantastic interaction, moments that made me laugh so much and moments that had me emotional … plus a totally unexpected but absolutely great surprise guest. This might be my favourite episode

It's rather common for the protagonist to be relatively bland compared to other characters (I won't mention examples because this could go on for ever). Sometimes, of course, the opposite happens and the lead is incredibly interesting (Dexter, House, Mark Greene, Sherlock as played by Jonny Lee Miller).

Occasionally, it is. I remember one time she said 'page Pierce' and it slipped. But yeah, mostly she pulls it off.

Yeah, of course I mean De Luca and Wilson. English is not in the slightest way the same as Scottish.

Fired twice, really? I might be wrong, but she was only fired when she killed that mum… but on the other instance (after failing her boards) she resigned and Owen flew to get her back. Not the same thing.

Far, far, far better than the previous episode. Teaser was incredibly predictable (loads of people had called it months ago) as was the plot with the guest. One of the problems with having so many characters and so many stories is that plenty of them end up being little more than extras.

The episode made me wanna shout at the screen again … predictable ending, trite story, out of character stuff all over the place.

"How fitting, then, that it’s Nick who opens the door to Jess when she shows up dirty, bedraggled, and alone after her hike."

Yeah, it was a poorly-disguised audition for her. I don't mind, she seems alright.
