BUT WHAT'S DIPPER'S REAL NAME
GODDAMMIT I HAVE TO KNOW

Nice.

Okay, I guess you got me there. But I hadn't even been born yet, so I didn't get to experience the crushing disappointment of that awful snub like I did with the one last night.

Me, too.

Sounds more appealing than the actual song, though.

Wait…
THAT won a Grammy?
Dear God. I thought it couldn't get any worse.

No. Not at all. It's just that there's probably never been a worse snub in Grammys history.

Well, I know that for sure now. They'll always pick the least challenging, most non-threatening shit that you'd hear at a fucking coffee shop. Granted, Arcade Fire isn't exactly challenging, per se, but them winning Album of the Year is, what, the third or fourth time they actually got it right (at least among the

I said that I no longer care about anything the Grammys do from here on out. I cared about them before last night. I would still be caring about the Grammys if Kendrick hadn't been snubbed yet again. If he had won, my faith in the Grammy voters would have grown exponentially. But he didn't. So fuck them.

First of all, everyone already knew who Beck was. They had known for the past twenty years, in fact. Even if they hadn't listened to his albums, they had undoubtedly heard at least three of his songs on the radio at some point.
Second, Frank Ocean didn't win. He was robbed by Mumford & Sons, remember? There's another

I know, right? And even then there was disappointment involved after they didn't so much as nominate Kanye's best album to date. If he had been nominated, he would have completely deserved to win. I mean, there's obviously no fucking way he would have, but at least Arcade Fire won. At least we have that.

Yes, I'm well aware of that. I'm just pitting what won against what should have won.

Sorry about that.

I know it doesn't really matter, but if To Pimp a Butterfly had won the award it deserved, more people would undoubtedly be listening to it right now. And the more who hear that masterwork, the better.

No, I'd been watching the Grammys for the past few years. I was as pissed off as the next guy about Kendrick getting snubbed in 2014.
But this year I thought maybe, just maybe they'll get it right this time. With all the praise that has been (rightfully) heaped upon To Pimp a Butterfly, maybe they'll see the light at

I hope to Christ that's true. Because I don't want to have to suffer through any more of her "music."
Especially "Dear Future Husband". That song makes me angry.

Welcome to Piedmont, California.

The A.V. Club

They did it. The Grammys lost every bit of the respect I had for them.
Granted, it was very little respect to begin with, but Jesus fuck.
I mean, in what fucked up universe is Taylor Swift better than Kendrick Lamar?
An underwhelming pop album with a couple of good songs versus an intricate, multilayered modern
