I think that makes it almost stepping into meta commentary on Superhero origin stories.

Why does it matter? You can't reach it except for every 15 years, there's no reason why anyone would want to go there, and nobody believes him anyway.
It's more like asking the question:
I'm not a fan of breaking down each aspect of the show in the review. TV episodes are holistic. I don't think you should separate parts of the show from each other and judge them separately because that's not how we experience media.
But you missed the part where he immediately turns around and tries chasing him again.
Well, to be fair, I've only seen like 3 episodes. The first was one on police brutality, and it was great is showing how the entire family had to deal with the undeniable existence of (often lethal) racism. But it still had the problem of characters not really being anything more than mouthpieces for different social…
I'm kind of the same. For me, it's because it's too didactic. I don't have a problem with the message or the ideas (I love them) but the format. It feels a little like all the characters exist to be mouthpieces for social issues first and foremost, and actual characters second, so I kind of stop caring about them.
I didn't see it on Sky, and I might be out of luck if I want to see the first season. Sky does have streaming on the TV box, but a lot of shows don't stay up there for too long. Ah well, there will probably be some streaming option somewhere.
Same. Sounds cool, but I don't want to read the review and spoil myself.
Well, honestly, it really is a love it or hate it kind of deal. I like it, but I can't promise that anyone else will.
That's a shame. I blasted through the book in one day - it really was carried by its strong narration. I guess that's not something that can be replicated in film that easily.
Honestly, he should have been the lead in Rogue One. The girl and the latin guy were just boring. Donnie was the best thing about that movie.
Exactly. Nobody wakes up and thinks 'You know what? I guess I'm going to be that sexist thing they're always talking about.' People just kind of fall into it. The issue is that most of these people either lack the introspection or empathy to understand what it's like to be on the receiving end of their shit, or…
I'm not complaining. I'm just mystified as to why anyone would want this.
I'm sorry, but how does Marmite belong alongside everything else there?
I have to say that I love that Zelda doesn't have experience system, even if I do think exp systems aren't bad in of themselves.
The Asscreed story is nonsense which only really exists to justify the (admittedly very cool) premise of free-running historical psychopaths who somehow are going to fix everything by murdering everyone. Also, Aliens.
That's a fair point.
Yeah, I spotted the leather jacket thing too. As soon as I saw it, I was like damn I'd wear that, it looks like it came off the shelf at some department store. It's weird that Frontier is so inspired by the Revenant, but so anachronistically glamourous that it can never be what its reaching for.
The women of that time died at a 100% rate, as none of them are around today.
