I thought the high-pitched whistle + nosebleed was a reference to Troy's reaction to Abed "being meta" in Paradigms of Human Memory, but maybe I'm grasping for straws.

They once claimed he's "as old as he thinks he is", which if actually canon, fits perfectly with "So Many Birthdays".

Not with the mid-season pre-finale of Under the Knife still un-rewatched, he can't. People just don't get that show's complex satire.

There's a few unfinished season-2 episodes on Youtube in animatic form and with the original voices, in case you're interested. "Pretty in Pink or Crap Gets in your Eyes", in particular, is a sheer character-based delight.

Wonderful, charming episode. Both Mission Hill and Sym-Bionic Titan left us way too soon, so it's a delight to have Brian Posehn back in voice-acting.

In keeping with the Lord/Miller theme, my personal vote for best use of "voice in the crowd" gags goes to the casting of Will Forte as "the one guy who speaks EVERY TIME we need a random townsperson to yell something out" in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. That concept doesn't get nearly enough love.

April 16th, actually.

Best episode of the season so far. Also, I now need Pillar of Garbage by Natalie Is Freezing, and the fact that it's not a real song WILL NOT STOP ME.

Serves me right for commenting before being able to watch it.

I don't know if this was the season opener, though. It's definitely a season 2 episode, but CN's scrambled a whole bunch of them around (for instance, there's still 3 season-one episodes left unaired as of now, "Story for Steven", "Shirt Club" and "Open Book", which I think is the only one scheduled soon).

We would love that, yes. Thank you!

Now I need to hear this credits song. More than anything else in the world. That's how much this show means to me right now.

Then this got cancelled in favor of the sequel and it made the whole thing pointless.

Listen to this man. Hope you guys cover tonight's episode as well, because after last night I need more.

The article indicates Pen Ward will be involved in writing and producing. I have some hope.

Sorry. I just wanted the world to know. I know people who wouldn't see it otherwise and were convinced by those two words.

And a Garfunkel and Oates-penned teamwork anthem!

IT'S ACTUALLY BACK. That was the very best part of the new movie.

This is basically a real-life equivalent of a Where Are My Pants set.
