Weird, the production on Grace Under Pressure sounds way more anemic and antiseptic to my ears than either of the others you mentioned.

Seems to be the general consensus but I'm gonna have to be the voice of dissent here. Coming to Rush as more of a new wave fan than a prog guy, I think that era of their music is really, really strong. They harnessed what could have been a very anemic production style and gave it as much muscle as their hard rock

The way Geddy sings the line "big mo-ney goes AROUND THE WORLD!" is great.

If you like Adrian Belew, sure! It's a pretty fun, lightweight album that zips by in a jiffy and, AFAIK, it's the only place you can find the other Bowie/Belew collab that ends the album, Gunman.

the "surrogate fathers of that one Gotye song" tour.

Soul Cages is quite good.

Strangers When We Meet is my favorite Bowie song, full-stop.

Gunman from the same album is fantastic as well. I do wish they'd worked together more.

Look up the live versions he did with his '95 touring band. They're even better than the studio version, and I love the studio version.

Pretty Pink Rose is so much fun. He and Belew sound like they were having a blast.

Ian Fish, UK Heir is the one that gets me. It takes so long for the guitar to figure out what it's doing, but when it does all the odd, seemingly random noises in the background sync up with it and it turns out they all fit together all along. It's indescribably beautiful to me.

I hear this "Making A Murderer" show is a hit with the kids.

Maybe on your wall.

OH SHIT, GENJI'S ALREADY OVER IT

My vote goes to the entire goddamned Buddha Of Suburbia album.

I Can't Read should be on this list.

Ah yes, THE SEEEEEEE-CRET LIIIIIFE… OF A(etc.)

Absolute Beginners is one of the best goddamned love songs ever written by anyone.
