"an easy-listening triptych worthy of Hieronymous Bosch’s best works" may be the best sentence I've read all day.

I CAME TO THIS COMMENTS SECTION JUST TO SAY THAT

I agree, but I pretty much AM a parody of an SJW.

NOT CREEPY ENOUGH.

I laughed. I'm going to hell.

I Know It's Over is so good, though!

Yeah. Bowie's calculating but I never get the sense that he's hiding anything especially sinister. Taylor Swift, not so much.

This feature has been disconcertingly true to its name lately.

I dunno. I'm torn on The Queen Is Dead because, while it doesn't have anything BAD on it per se, the great songs overshadow the rest of the album in a way that makes it feel a little lopsided. I still listen to it more than any other Smiths album, but I often suspect their debut might actually be a lot better overall.

Can you blame him?

I actually did the exact same thing but I wouldn't go so far as to say I "enjoy" that album.

I have a friend who's a big fan and claims it's their worst but I'm… um… not, so I was pleasantly surprised at how consistently good and not-conventionally-Blink-182-like the songwriting was.

I feel like I mentioned this in another thread a while back, but when I went to Riot Fest in Chicago a couple of years ago, I caught Blink-182's closing set for nostalgia/why-the-hell-not reasons. Tom was drunk and missing notes all over the place and getting visibly upset with himself for doing so, often changing

They're playing Heavy MTL, actually.

You know, it's funny, I love Devo but New Traditionalists never clicked with me. I'm curious as to what people love about it as I just find it mostly kind of unmemorable and would really like to be able to appreciate it on the terms that people who enjoy it do.

I just read the .pdf, first DFW thing I've read from beginning to end. Holy crap, that ending.

THAT'S THE JOKE

That second paragraph invalidated any goodwill I felt about that initial Walk Hard reference.

Isn't this the movie that also ends with the surviving crew members dancing with a bunch of aliens or something? Yeah, fuck this movie.
