I rewatched a bunch of the UK episodes recently - Greg really seemed to light into Clive, it didn't always strike me as purely good-hearted.

Ask them if they'd like a free cup of coffee, they'll come to you!

My mom did the Europe thing in the 60s and she mentions being in Belfast and having tickets to see some show in the evening but the venue got bombed by the IRA before they were supposed to be there.

I always say this out loud when i BBQ (even if it's just for myself).

I think it was an 80s re-print of a Snakes and Ladders 50s or 60s game (the illustrations were of that old fashioned look). It's probably not as palatable now for parents to give kids games that are morality tales - or if there is morality involved it's probably pretty light like, 'Be a good friend!'

I'm Canadian and grew up with the snakes and ladders game (never seen chutes and ladders, but am familar with the term).

Monopoly Deal, the card game, is a *way* more entertaining way to play Monopoly and the game isn't super long. I highly recommend this for kids, i used to play it at lunch with a coworker and it was so much better than playing actual Monopoly.

Jeff Conway as Kenickie is *so* much hotter than Travolta as Danny.

Oh yeah, for sure. My older cousins gave me a pile of their old books when i was 9 yrs old and one of them was the 'photonovel' of Grease. I had the movie memorized entirely before I ever actually saw it years later. I remember vaguely wondering, when the car is referred to as a 'pussy wagon', when cats were put

I'm from a small city (25,000) and there was only one Indian restaurant i can think of - all that changed when i moved to Toronto and it's *everywhere*.

And even though it didn't air, a lot of people still know about it and it's memorable for that reason so they probably did get their money's worth from the attention.

There is a bus driver here who says 'Welcome Aboard!' and shakes people's hands as they get on. I had him once as a driver, he made everyone smile even though he was corny.

Haha - Northern Reflections was a 'cool' store in the 90s - i remember some girl in grade 8 came up to me and bluntly said, 'People would like you more if you wore cool clothes like Northern reflections or Cotton Ginny'.

I wonder how long it will take to get good replacements for these characters - like does Disney have a line of backups waiting in the wings?

I love Anderson visually, but i can't *stand* his dialogue.

He isn't likeable whatsoever as a romantic partner - it's not even, "Why is this guy with a hot chick?" it's more like, "Why is any woman with this guy…EVER?"

As long as he can avoid the Pumpers and Dumpers, he'll be ok.

I'm sorry. I was laid off too last week. It's a bit depressing but now at least i don't have a daily 2.5 hour commute any more and my work related stress no longer exists.

I can't remember quite off hand, but just mentioning Lane and Joan just made my heart ache a little :(

One of my favourite little Roger Sterling moments is the Monday at work when he imitates her song/dance to Don to make fun of him.
