It's also in Louisiana. And you're right: great place to watch a game, mediocre pizza. But it was cheap, and that goes a long way.

I feel like such an idiot for just realizing this. That's a great point.

If we assume there is a rural/urban divide among Trump's support/opposition, then Trump criticizing Nordstrom's is the best thing that can happen to them. Not a whole lot of Nordstrom's in poor, rural communities.

Kat Dennings is the best part of both Thor films. She's the perfect audience surrogate, constantly pointed out how silly the movie is. It grounds Thor.

This is the drum I'm beating. Marvel's headliners are bad. But their back of the order stuff that's out of the main continuity is pretty good. The problem is, those books keep getting cancelled. Civil War II being terrible does not mean The Vision wasn't outstanding.

Probably my biggest complaint of the MCU is the lack of Janet van Dyne. She should have been in the first Avengers film. Wasp is one of the core Avengers.

This is how I view Marvel right now. their events are a mess, but a terrible "mainstream" has allowed the smaller "underground" books to thrive. Just avoid the big hitters and look in the nook and crannies of the Marvel Universe.

As long as guys can still be secretaries and go make the lunch run, then I'm all for it.

I live in Texas. I went to college in Louisiana. If I cut every sexist, bigot, and homophobe out of my life, I would never leave the house. And I certainly wouldn't ever talk to my family.

The Posette has reached the point where she wants to ban all men from government (not really, but close). I'm all for it. I just ask her who to make the check out to, and for how much. I figure women literally can't do a worse job of running the country than we have, so I'm all for opting out.

I don't know. I like knowing real life strawmen. That way, if I'm talking to another friend who says something along the lines that nobody actually believes some stupid sexist/racist thing, I can then trot out our mutual, horrible acquaintance.

Totally agree. It's a film award for middlebrow films. That way, it gets mocked from both ends, "low" and "high" culture both sneer at the Oscars for nearly opposite reasons, but the Oscars do a good job at what they are designed to do: honoring mainstream prestige Hollywood films. As Hollywood expanded to include

This isn't a Barron Trump joke. This is a tweet advocating Barron Trump murder his parents. If you're gonna be outraged, get the outrage right.

Three and a half! Houston went blue (barely)! San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas form the axis of sanity. Just stick to I-35.

Ft Worth hates Dallas too much to elect a Democratic mayor. Dallas County is trending more liberal than Austin's Travis County due to an influx of rich assholes to Austin and the fact Dallas can lop off its more irritating suburbs to Denton County. It's not there yet, but it's moving that way. Fort Worth has responded

Texas is just like anywhere else in the country: cool, liberal-leaning centers surrounded by miles of virtual emptiness, populated only by rednecks. It's just that Texas' miles of near nothingness is a lot larger. OK, Fort Worth is the rare conservative city, but they have a cool art museum.

Come on, Bradshaw was so dumb that he went to Louisiana Tech because he couldn't meet the rigid academic requirements of LSU, known to all as the Harvard of the South.

Terry Bradshaw.

Sure he is. OK, he and Brady are 1A and 1B, and you can choose whichever one you like. But the guy has won 2 MVP awards, is a contender for third this year, and is blazing hot right now. His 40/7 TD/INT ratio is ridiculous, even moreso when you realize he was 18/0 over the last 7 games of the season, and then 4/0
