I don't see the problem with it. ROTJ is the worst of the original trilogy and Sith is the best of the prequels. Both rate as good but not great movies, and can really boil down to preference. I prefer a ranking of the movies as three distinct tiers:

Image is just killing it right now. I guess I'd rank it East of West, Saga, Sex Criminals, Paper Girls, and Trees… but I wouldn't argue too hard with someone else's order after the top two.

It's an inventive book, but I sort of lost interest with it as it moved along. It's definitely worth picking up, but I did slowly drift from the title.

My iPod classic is in its death throes. It makes me sad. I love having a dedicated music device that I just plug into my car and don't ever have to worry about.

I just thought he was British.

Fuck this bad because they swear too much. It's an obvious ploy, and irresponsible.

This was an entirely unconvincing argument.

I remember when I saw this in the theater thinking that I had never seen a movie in the theaters quite like this, and wondered if this is what it was like when the Ten Commandments or Ben-Hur came out. Sword-and-sandal epics were from a bygone era, and it was an overwhelming watch. I guess it was like Braveheart, but

Hmmm….

Jimmy Page only took a break from having sex with 14 year olds to steal yet another song from Willie Dixon.

I'm not sure the word "meme" even existed back then. I certainly didn't know anyone who used it. But, oh God, did insufferable people like to tell you how much they hated television and that they did not own one. There was even a "Kill Your Television" bumper sticker, which commodified people's disgust with

I had no idea. I own a Long Winters album and love it, and I also still regularly listen to Merrymakers. Had no clue they were connected. I should seek out more of his work.

Sorry. I have a toddler. I watch A LOT of Disney movies.

Look, while the crows in Dumbo are clearly racist (I mean, the lead crow is literally named Jim Crow, for godsakes), they aren't evil within the context of the film. In fact, outside of Timothy Mouse, the crows are just about the only characters in the entire film who show Dumbo any kindness. They are the ones who get

I thought the box was going to have an aborted fetus in there, so I was actually kind of relieved at the reveal. That made me even more disturbed by the film, as my mind went to a place more awful than the sadistic killer's did.

Monster Squad or GTFO.

Man, I could not disagree with this sentence more in regards to The Bababook: "Movies that have no interest whatsoever in trying to find a tidy pop-psych explanation for the horrors on screen. "

I was going to say this. King writes excellent short stories. His weaknesses as a writer tend to show in a long from novel, particularly his inability to come up with a decent ending. A short story, however, doesn't really require that kind of resolution.

I love that sequence in 1408.

I feel like I've outgrown the comic. I was a big fan of it, but I re-read it recently, and it reminded me of what a miserable little twit I was in the 90's. I expect watching this show will be like flipping through old yearbooks and cringing.
