POI took a while to get going. At the beginning I would have it on in the background. Later episodes are much more gripping and the series becomes very compelling.

A load of dreadful nonsense. Writers obviously winging it. Decent actors let down - particularly Colin McFarlane, what a waste of his talent.

Depends whether it feels like the writers have a plan or are just winging it.

Yes. Apart from the latter half of this season, where Terry has been given nothing to do except Ray's wife, the Terry and Bunchy parts have been genuinely moving.
