Again, I (really, really) understand the anger, but I fundamentally disagree. I don't want my progressivism to end with my political opponents.

With all due respect, you're not answering my questions. I understand the reluctance to tell a stranger personal details; but, you're the one accusing non-Turmp voters of being mad and miserable. I'm here to provide you with a different perspective. I'm glad you have a lot to be thankful for; so do I. I have autonomy…
I'm going to ask you the same question I asked (I assumed; perhaps wrongly) of your fellow Turmp voters downthread. I have yet to get an honest answer, but I want one, so here it goes:
I get it, dude. I really do. I'm just trying to engage in some "radical empathy". It's kind of hard, but I think it's ultimately worthwhile. I'm certainly not perfect at it, but I think it's important to try.
I'm not here to defend those comments. I'm here to obtain an answer from you, ostensible Turmp voter, person who I haven't met, and who's life I can't contemplate.
1) When I say no one, I mean no one. That extends to the vilest members of society.
Yeah… I get that, which is why I responded to you.
I remember having a discussion earlier this year with a friend whose husband is Italian and said re: Turmp, "I have faith that people will do the right thing."
I'll just repeat the comment I left to SmashingYoungMan upthread, since the sentiment is similar, and I've yet to get a response when asking a similar question of Turmp supporters:
I understand the anger here, I really do, but… I don't think anybody should have to end up on the streets, or die for lack of healthcare, and this includes Turmp voters.
Sadly enough, the Turmp vote was an exercise in lashing out in impotent anger.
I literally just had a Turmp supporter yell at me for having a Hillary magnet on my car. He kept yelling Trump (he may have been in an… altered state) and Hillary for Prison and he said something about "white men work".
The Futureheads cover is super good.

Well, I mean one of the lyrics is "if what they say is nothing lasts forever/then what makes love the exception?" and another is "why are we so in denial when we know we're not happy here?" Not your typical pop song sentiment, but Andre 3000 knows that "y'all don't wanna hear me/you just wanna dance"
No trick. No trick. You're the trick!@!
Uh, I don't know about that:

You learn something new every day!
Uh, "toothy grin" is not an adjective I would use to describe Turmp. Does he ever even smile? All I see is him making that pained smirk or that hanging O mouth. More like "hemorroidal rictus"
He was lookin' a little "worked on" in the facial region. Sure he was buff but you can tell it was to distract from the face.
