I think she's ambivalent about how she is. She's clearly become someone who has an ability and lack of hesitation with violence, and a certain disregard about shit happening. I don't think she's able to reconcile that with who she was and in many ways still is - 'a mother', as thingummybob (Tobin?) told her last week.
