I like this, and it's pretty much how I see it. My problem is in the writing and characterisation from last season, where they called him 'The Governor' and gave him an eyepatch, which makes him seem like a wrestler or a pantomime villain. I understand its from the comic books, but it seemed way more 'comic book' than

If they divided up the action, that would be good. If they had to find less for Rick and co to do, they could spread the stupidity and repetitiveness that seems to dog them out. I think they're getting better with Rick and co, but it's still too often the weakest part.

It's not the show I want it to be. I'm coming to accept that now. I want an end-of-the-world thing with zombies thrown in. Resourcefulness and ingenuity and planning, and sometimes those plans working, and others not. There was a point in season 2 where Herschel remarked how it was a miracle Rick etc had survived so

I like the Governer as a character, but I find his story too pantomime/comic book, when the rest of the show is (for want of a better term) more 'realistic'. It's a change in tone that doesn't work.

I think at the begining they thought zombie bite gave you zombieness. It killed you, because you have to be dead before you can be undeaded. But everyone has zombieness anyway. So I'm assuming zombie bite just (!) gives you a virus that kills you - I presume there's something in the saliva.

I do like a bit of tactics, and ingenuity. I'd be happy to have a storyline or two about fortifying the prison, and the practical things they need to deal with to get by. Like that peddle-powered water pump Carol had to clean out. They set some pointy traps, and set up a new door system and, well, that was it.

But what if someone's horse got sick? You ever think of that? Would you want a sick horse and worried horse owner on your conscience?

I wondered that. It was said earlier her leg got messed up during a stampede panic at a refugee centre, so maybe that made it kind of… perforated? All I can think is it being by the gate - maybe it got caught in that. But it did look a very clean cut/tear.

Was it just me who thought the cars were going to crash at the end?

The characters do whatever is necesary to make something dramatic happen, no matter how stupid or out of character it is. The best that can happen is they put a decent actor in a part the writers aren't too bothered about, and the actor has room to try and better create the character.

As others have said below, I think/hope Carol is in some way covering up for at least 'messed up' girl, if not both sisters. With her 'toughen up' talk and knife instruction/handing over, she as good as killed Karen and David (whoever he was).

Good job for the writers he didn't mention it earlier, otherwise we wouldn't have had the huge herd and the car reversing up onto walkers and Tyreese's hammer moment and the general sense of race against time/urgency.

I've wondered that too. Fair enough, an old zombie may degenerate in some way (or may not), but then they can do that to 'fresh' zombies. And all that abdomen tearing - is it that easy with one's bare hands, or is it a zombie thing? And the bite/scratch thing. I'm guessing a bite passes on something in the saliva,

I assume, just as the zombies seem to have fantastically strong teeth and jaws and, I would say, apparently weaker skulls, so they also pass on (through saliva?) a pain-fever-death kind of disease when they bite.
