It would make sense with Boo's speech in the first episode. She likes Boo, so Boo is always right. She's like a lost dog who keeps changing owners.

It was also nice to see a non-monogamous relationship develop through their story, instead of "just us two, you leave". In the end, I really felt like the three of them really loved and cared for each other in a natural way, like one happy family.
