She was smart not to outshine Alyssa for a second week in a row and had nothing to lose in leaning back because she surely wouldn't go home…

So what's the T on Phi Phi refusing to attend the finale? I saw her disillusioned IG post about the producer manipulation which is pretty disheartening to read…

Especially since it was pretty heavily implied that her apparent insecurity in the challenge was brought on by Phi Phi's constant reminders that she should have been the one to sashay away & not Ginj…

Hey acting voice makes me think of a "try to scream and nothing comes out" nightmare…

…and I could not agree more (with you). This episode had it all: great acting (Alaska), great runway looks (I guess people didn't like it but I gasped at Alyssa's reveal), a welcome #tbt moment (Lil Poundcake), a fully realized lip sync (same), ratcheted up drama (Phi Phi), and a wicked twist at the end. This is

My guess is they had 2 or 3 on toggle for this episode depending how the challenge went; if one team had been uniformly terrible I would expect they would have just done a bottom 2 of them alone.

Doubt it was staged but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a producer off-screen asking her/them "so how did you feel about Alyssa now that she's gone" in a slyly prodding way…

Editing or no it sure seemed like Phi Phi had her mind made up to send Alyssa home had she won the lip sync. Which, of course, seems like "flipping the script" doesn't it…

And sometimes people simply have a brain fart. I remember once staring in utter confusion at the word "argue" out of context because I was reading it like "morgue", "plague", etc. "What's an arg?"

Hey, not her fault she's killing it.

Yes, it does feel a little less spontaneous and less challenging since they've been working on these kinds of performances on BOTS and other repeat engagements since their time on the show—but they all sloughed through the "turn this trash into couture" boot camp in their respective seasons already, now is their time

And "BAWWWWX!" She brought the chicken to RPDR well before Miss Fame did, recognize!

And Alyssa seems to get stuck in that one acting voice where she apparently has no larynx (see: the Telenovela challenge)

Oh yeah I think everybody can agree that the team concept was a disaster. I get that they needed some sort of shift to separate it from the usual RPDR paradigm though, which they seemed to hit right on the head in AS2…

I like her a great deal more than on S5 but I remember that the claws didn't really come out until it got down to the wire, so I'm hesitant…

Really, 'cause I heard that Detox was defending Willam cause Sharon's from Philly…

This show is SO. GOOD. Lackluster main challenge aside, for pure drama and narrative this may be one of the best episodes of the whole RPDR series. Alaska in particular was killing it the entire episode in a way rarely seen on this show. And even though it was obvious at the end that something was amiss by showing the

That'd be super contrived and a little too RPDR self-referential even by this show's standards…

Shakesqueer was unintentionally hilarious and one of my favorite moments of S7… True Hollywood Story was dumb I agree… John Waters at least had John Waters but was almost as cringeworthy. I mean when Phi Phi launched into the inexplicable heavy metal screamfest I was so beyond over this challenge.

I think they meant after the season aired… during/after which is a flurry of activity for the queens featured.
