I think that in general more queens choke on performance challenges than we end up seeing; in this case they happened to highlight the one that would end up in a LSFYL.

Well there's that, yes…

Because people naturally videotape themselves answering an unexpected phone call from an unknown number…

Dax's reaction when Ru said they were both sashaying away seemed pretty damn genuine to me. Total deflation… hard to watch.

There was a cut between the statement and the sad look down that made me think the two were unrelated… she seemed pretty aware her dancing skills were nil so I didn't take it as so "woe is me" as the editing intends…

Oh wow good point right there… sorry Tempest, I was blinded by the sheer youth of the overall cast which the "old" biddies were constantly reminding us of…

I really think it was shown to justify such an early double elimination which is kind of outrageous… they had to underscore how epic a LSFYL to this particular song should have been, and wasn't.

That really bothered me too (I'm 33). I'm not a statistician but off the top of my head I have a feeling the oldest queen on S7 was younger or equal to than the average age this season.

The constant spinning was giving me the impression of "I don't know the words that well" which was a fair assumption after her not knowing them too well in the challenge.

I think they always chit chat pre-lip sync and it was included this time to really drive home the point that the song is iconic and that both queens failed to deliver, justifying something as controversial as a double elimination so early on in the season.

I do find it a bit much that after all the talk last week about not coming on the show without learning to sew, very few are saying the same about learning to dance (or develop a runway walk). I fear Kim Chi is solely a looks queen (after all, her fame is via Instagram) which is a major challenge for her to overcome…

Definitely. Cleveland/Akron has had nobody since…. Akashia?

I wouldn't put that past the show (remember all the speculation about Bianca getting kicked off for insulting Michelle and Santino in the previews…)

Possible SPOLER ALERT……………. a friend went to the S8 premiere at a NYC bar where they gave the patrons nametags with the contestants' names on them, and if your namesake won or lost you got a free shot. When I asked her whose name she got, she said "someone who wasn't on the show… Star something? They said she comes

I wonder who it is who rolls off the runway backwards as shown in the season previews…

Michelle's observations have actually been spot-on so far. I thought I was the only one who noticed Dax's wonky padding last week, guess not.

Precisely…

You mean Sal from Impractical Jokers.

Makes sense given that her runway walk had makeover challenge written all over it (and not the queen…)

Oh, I know that. I guess personally (and I assume for most viewers) I can rationalize condescending bitchiness far more easily than insecure bitchiness even if both can be contemptuous. And I don't take her vibe as bitter, more just asserting her experience… and besides… her name has "acid" in it which I take to be a
