I always liked how the Lane/Mrs. Kim relationship was a transference of the Lorelai/Emily relationship. And to an even larger extent the Mrs. Kim's mom/Mrs. Kim/Lane relationship was similar to the Trix/Emily/Lorelai relationship.

I haven't watched the show and even though it may be getting better no way does it deserve to stay on ABC while Happy Endings is likely to get the boot.
