It's not the case.
It's not the case.
Not much consolation, but the UK side of the publisher has decided not to release the book in the country. This is probably because they doubt it's worth the negative PR more than any kind of moral stance.
The Goldfinch was…. not good, though.
But last night's wasn't very good.
Huh, I thought the AV Club would decimate this episode. I really didn't like it, and can only hope the next two get back to a more basic case-of-the-week structure. Convoluted mythology doesn't suit this show in the slightest, and Mary will probably be seen as a major misstep of a character once it's all over.
Cooper was fine because in real life he was going out with a girl even younger than Lawrence, so she seemed old in comparison.
She's having a totally expected backlash that would follow anyone getting that famous that fast. It'll soon pass, and she'll reach her natural standing in the public consciousness.
You're a nod!
And it was a nice nod to the original to boot.
I think anyone who manages to shoot an unarmed woman in the back is definitely good at their job.
Looks great. I just hope Ford cares enough to give a good performance.
Midnight Special desperately needed a grand score to carry the emotion. If you're aiming for Spielberg, go all out.
I feel like I'm out of the loop here: why is Casey Affleck such an awful guy now?
In a show where everyone is horrible in their own way, Noah's unapologetic horribleness becomes (almost) endearing.
Not a great episode, but it was the first time Noah and Alison felt like they had some genuine chemistry, even if it's still a bit one-sided. The first half was weird though - I half suspected Alison was imagining Noah, which would have been trite but given what we've seen of him so far this season I've no idea why he…
And it didn't deserve to be on either, really.
Obligatory 'how can someone watch that much TV??' comment.
I remember visiting the US and the first season was on, voiced by Signorney Weaver rather than Richard Attenborough. I was irrationally appalled.
I've watched every GoT episode and will obviously keep watching until the end, but I've come to the belief that its only genuinely good season was the first.
I don't think it's crazy to suggest that when writers know a show will be binge-watched they will tailor the seasonal arc differently than they would a weekly serialization. The writers of Stranger Things have said exactly that, in fact.
