The first two times I saw the Dismemberment Plan, they were the openers, which is completely unfair to the headliner. The first time was on the Death and Dismemberment tour in Bellingham, WA, where Death Cab headlined and the second time was in Vancouver with the Plan opening for Hot Hot Heat. DCFC and HHH were

Better than Pallbearer

That review…oh man. What in the world?

Better than a B.

The album's fine. It's not Return Of The Rentals, but there's nothing egregious here.

I'll say this, it's streets ahead of late-era Weezer.

Bad Brains - Don't Need It
Ween - Take Me Away
Brian Wilson - Life Is For The Living
Cam'ron - Down And Out
Altar Of Plagues - Twelve Was Ruin

Michael Nesmith - Nevada Fighter
Cocteau Twins - Squeeze-Wax
In Solitude - Poisoned, Blessed and Burned
Loudon Wainwright III - Old Paint
20/20 - Yellow Pills

They went all the way to the finals in 84-85 with a stacked team of free agents on pricey one year deals.

Man, Elliott lasted for four seasons and she didn't really do anything of value until her final season. If SNL botched anything, it was when they fired Casey Wilson and Michaela Watkins.

This album is stellar. Just top to bottom ridiculously fun, hooky pop punk jams. If you ever liked Lifetime or anything from the genre, Lifetime's reunion album stands tall among the pack.

You obviously never listened to Life Won't Wait.

Ooh, good taste.

Fuel For The Hate Game through to No Division are pretty excellent. Hell, I've got a lot of time for Caution too.

Correction'; IS epic.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. The more relevant posts are further down.

This just in: Harry Palm's post has officially killed punk rock.

Yeah, it's weird that they remain such a divisive band. It's like, "who cares?" They were a good pop punk band that had a nice little run in the 90s and then another unnecessary run a decade later. Some good stuff in there and some bad. We should be over it.

Pretty narrow-minded for a Sleater-Kinney fan. Congrats dumb dumb.

They got pegged as a Clash revival act and my take was, "what's wrong with that?" Why shouldn't someone try to recreate London Calling? That's a totally worthwhile venture.
