Holly Taylor is clearly a fine actor who should be able to play any number of very different roles in the future. I'm not worried that casting directors will typecast her, but think they'll be properly impressed with her work on this amazing show.

Knowing from their wheat mission that conditions are so hard for the Soviet people and "equality" is non-existent, Elizabeth has to know that things are anything but great back home. It did sound like she was just reciting the talking points to Paige and she was so diplomatic about the reality. One has to wonder to…
Yeah I think Oleg realized he may be off the hook with the CIA. The burning of the note and tape scene was terrific. Stan may have won the battle but I fear he's about to pay dearly for it. Noooo!
My worry for Phillip increases without Gabriel in his life. A real blow to him. And I will sorely miss Langella's beautiful portrayal as well.
Gabriel's warning was delivered so gently yet was so chilling. You can feel the Jennings' situation/state of mind coming undone.
Indeed it is.
I dunno. "Normal" parents don't ignore a child as much as Henry is ignored. They really seem pretty disinterested in him.
Yeah the multiple tragic moments in this episode really piled up and broke my heart. Gabriel and Mischa's devastating scene, Oleg's despair over his predicament, and Paige's resignation overwhelming her (she's just a teen and her life already seems ruined to her, she's boxed in through no choice of her own). Phillip's…
My thinking too. David has lived his whole life with that evil thing inside him, intermingling with his consciousness.
Indeed. I hated for it to be over, but it was exactly as long as it needed to be. In love with this show.
I agree that Paige gets more attention than Henry, even before Phil and Liz had to let her in on their secret. That pushed all three of them into closer communication whether they wanted to or not. But don't put all the blame on Paige. Parents often give the firstborn more attention than those who follow. Paige also…
So tall! I too hardly recognized him. It's not like we see the kid very often (which is okay with me). Henry is kind of neglected by his absentee parents. Not that we see every minute of their family life, but that's the idea I've gotten. Kind of a shame for him but hey, he's maybe got a girlfriend!
Yeah I was really shocked by Stan's courageous and, I think foolhardy, move. He's in trouble now. Which he no doubt already was, with his new girlfriend likely being a spy and all. I was really moved and horrified by Oleg's mother's story. The Americans, you can still surprise me. Love this show.
Thank you. I said this same thing to my sister as we watched this episode.
Of course he's completely nuts so I guess we can't expect him to be logical. I too loathe Prometheus and hope he gets what's coming to him.
One last thing: if you're wringing your hands over my comments and what might (probably will) happen to Alexi, you're watching the wrong show.
Hmm. Thinking about what you said. If this crop-eating midge plan turns out to be a hoax set up to waste the time and energy of Russian spies (which I don't believe), instead of a bad plan it will be brilliant! Ha ha!
You are either misunderstanding all my comments, or you just want to argue. Not gonna play.
It would seem that the USA is definitely researching how to destroy crops and at the time the Soviet Union was the big enemy, so it's an easy leap to think, at least in this storyline, that destroying Russia's crops is the goal. Seems an odd (and morally wrong) thing to do, but spy groups have tried all kinds of crazy…
Agree to disagree, I guess.
