So, Republicans are against gay marriage but they're fine with quasi-incest?
Admittedly, I'm not so sure on the "master stylist" part, but I can't think of any better example of the "putting his wife through the wringer" part.
The other contenders would probably be Federico Fellini and Giulietta Masina and Jean-Luc Godard and Anna Karina.
John Cassavetes and Gena Rowlands?
At this point I have to ask: is Donald Trump a real person? He's lapsed into self-parody so many times that he comes across as someone a not-so-subtle satirist would make up.
By coincidence, my mother is calling me. She also needs to "change."
If you're going to bed, know that the door to your hotel room doesn't lock properly.
By coincidence, that sounds like something my mother would say…
Thanks for doing this, Mike. The first time I saw this it took me several seconds to process what I had just seen. Great work by a director who will be missed.
The first three that come to my mind are all films that I saw for the first time this year.
I love this reboot idea you're pitching me, but we need something with mass appeal. So, instead of the miserable childhood of a misunderstood youth, why don't we make it the miserable origin story of a misunderstood crimefighter? No one has ever done that before.
Just wait for the Shia Labeouque period.
Be the first to get canceraids. Okay.
R. I. P. Curtis Hanson. L. A. Confidential and Wonder Boys are both favorites. I definitely need to see more of his filmography.
I want to meet the person who came up with this ad, just so I can ask them if they were trolling. This is almost too perfect to be genuine.
It's not radio, but I thought I would recommend a little known pilot Welles did for a tv series that was never picked up. It's called The Fountain of Youth. It's a must see for anyone who wants see a theater, radio, and film genius narrate an experimental pilot that revolves around monkey glands. Really.
I feel confident in saying that if you were to pass away all of us would mourn you.
I'm sorry I can't do much to help you feel better, but if you tell me what your documentary is going to be called, I'll personally buy a ticket to see it if it plays where I live.
Just remind yourself that plenty of great artists have…
Any and every character Thomas Pynchon has ever written. Special mention goes to Mike Fallopian and Reverend Wicks Cherrycoke.
The 400 Blows is one of the best films I've ever seen, and also one of the most painful. My childhood wasn't nearly as bad as Antoine Doinel (or Truffaut's for that matter), but a few of the events so closely mirror those in my own life that the film is difficult for me to watch. It's a testament to Truffaut's talent…
I was really upset when I heard, even though I've only seen Close-Up. Maybe it's because I know his work has meant a lot to some people.
