The video game world has a name for those kind of people. It's "graphics whores."
I wasn't really commenting on why it didn't work at the time, just why you'd tell someone new to Doctor Who to avoid it. I wouldn't say it explained what it needed to. It doesn't explain the Master's snake form thing. It doesn't explain what the TARDIS does, really. It doesn't explain the eye of harmony. That's…
The devil's in the details. The story's buried in myth and never really stopped to explain anything. It tries to establish: the Doctor, regeneration, the Master, why the Master can regenerate after his last regeneration, the TARDIS, the sonic screwdriver, two companions, and arguably the Time Lords and Daleks. …
Well, apparently the TARDIS lets them go to space florida with no issue. I don't think the lore gets in the way of a historical. The TARDIS may take him where he's needed, but there's enough room where that doesn't always have to hold true.
The plastic wrap ice caves were absurdly awesome. They actually do look a bit like rock with water frozen over them, but it's just wrong enough for you to tell. I got that same feeling I got when I realized the clouds and bushes were the same sprite in the original Mario Bros in their first scene. It also made me…
Yeah, I was a kid at in the middle of the 90s when pokemon and its copycats were born, so I definitely have been where your son is now. Being toyetic isn't innately anything bad, but if you pursue it at the expense of everything else, you end up with 80s Hasbro. If all you're offering is "ooh shiny new dragon," even…
I watched the first few episodes and while it's alright, it's still annoyingly "gotta catch'em all." Sure, it works for Pokemon, but I feel it's something of a waste with this franchise. What's the point of adding in all these dragons? They're not using them for anything. Barely anyone besides the main five…
Man, you are such a "cup half empty" kind of guy.
Me, too, but they also reminded me of headcrabs and tsumemon at different points. The latter I think is a coincidence, but I'm hesitant to believe they aren't referred to as "dreamcrabs" because of halflife.
Man, where'd you get all that from? I just figured he finally saw inception.
Yeah, creativity certainly affects dreams. In my experience, you can find the roots to your dreams in things you've thought about or experienced in the past day or so - never even farther back than three. I imagine they're only as revealing as any other free association exercise.
When you light flipped, did Uboa ever get you?
Everyone, stand back from him! He must've been bit by a fangirl at some point. We need to find a silver bullet so we can kill him before he completes the change.

"If he were disintegrated then the laws of physics would somehow conspire to have atoms combine into molecules and those into cells and so on until Jack was back. "
He'd make a great monster of the week, if nothing else.
I imagined her as having a closet with an accessory for each Doctor. Every morning she decides if she wants to wear the celery or the sweater vest.
America has a history of electing war heroes. They probably suggested it. "What about that guy that keeps saving us? Let's elect him!"
