Anyone remember Brick? I thought that plotline was pretty cool. Then Olivier came back from the dead two episodes later. Then Oliver was evil and then he wasn't an episode later, but nope, another episode later he was evil again. But wait, it's just a batman gambit to make Ra's think he's evil pretending to be

If they do Oracle, we need Dhark as a decoy antagonist for the Calculator. This can also set up the next season with Brother Eye as the major antagonist.

"Unfocused" sums up this season nicely. I feel like they "found" their theme partway through the season instead of going into it with even an idea. The season just has this soap opera lurching pace and doesn't swell or build on itself well. The Barrowman as Ra's would have been a neat conclusion if we had any sort

Pretty much my thoughts. I thought the most coherent interpretation was a domestic abuse interpretation, but I'm not certain that would have existed as something the general tv viewer would understand when this was aired.

Context, buddy. The statement didn't address men, aliens, or leprechauns. Even if the statement would hold true for men, don't presume words contain meanings that were not said - particularly when it's irrelevant to context.

I thought the guy was raising all the red flags for domestic abuse when I watched this episode. It's a fairly modern interpretation, but she may have not left for the reasons other abused women don't leave: fear for her or her daughter's safety. Lines like "Daddy, please!" when Erich entered the girl's room to take

Yeah, though maybe it's like comic Ra's and he wants to thin out the population. Perhaps there's just like a quota or something.

That'd be fun. I can't think of any good characters to use, though. Maybe make a team of them and make them a pastiche of the Alpha Dogs.

Maybe since they're actually in the place they presumably train assassins, the guys Ra's makes hide behind rocks to ambush intruders are the one's who don't know how to fight yet. They're just beating up a bunch of interns.

Certainly, they have a list of preapproved methods. Earthquake machines are not on the list, of course.

Well, the league uses swords and he's trained enough to be competent in their usage, so I think he's got a pretty good reason to be aware of what is presumably a Stradivarius of blades.

"Unearthly…" *snickers*

The Carpenter comes to town and starts building super villain lairs with The Broker? Count me in.

I thought it was Wintergreen's mask.

Perhaps they provide the knife if one wasn't acquired beforehand.

I think she meant "tracking" as in monitoring all the crap he, Deathstroke, and Yao Fei did to Fyers. He probably wasn't on her radar until after that went down.

There is no logic for Ra's. Remember, he's a Batman villain. Crazy's part of the standard package.

I'm still hesitant to believe Shreive had anything to do with the attack. I'm still banking on some sort of turnabout with Waller. Remember, when Ollie and Maseo kidnap Shrieve in this episode, they're not trying to get a vaccine but a cure.

I think the problem is less gender and more her history of holding the conflict ball. If there hadn't already been contrived conflict with Eddie, this might have been better received. This is basically a retread.

That's what I thought, too, but it doesn't have to necessitate a level of intent. Eddie could end up doing a lot of important things as a cop, but get little recognition because he's not wearing tights and a mask. Not many people are going to remember Jim Gordon for much of anything in 500 years, for instance.
