But Oliver found out about the affair back during "State vs. Queen" when Moira told him and Thea about it, and to my recollection he didn't react very negatively then. That's how Felicity knew about it in the first place, it came out during the trial!

That kind of bothered me though. Like, hello, Oliver has been lying to EVERYONE to keep his family safe. He's lied about murdering people and then some. And yet he cuts ties with Moira because she's lied about Thea's birth-father? How is protecting one's family a valid excuse for Oliver but not for Moira?

I'm wondering if Sara is going to stick around as the Black Canary, perhaps Laurel is actually being set up as some sort of villain, Black Canary or otherwise. Slade did say he "has plans" for her.

I was about to say, in fairness, Cougar Town got better after Nick Zano's recurring role. But Cougar Town is the exception to most rules.

Arrow C:

Every episode with the Mother has been great. Pretty much the only reason I'm watching at this point.

Great actress. The character she played on Lost was very smart in a competent villain sort of way. I still remember shuddering when they revealed her character (most minor of Lost spoilers) understood Korean the entire time. I'm sure she will tear this role up.

The one great thing about the first 45 minutes was the flashbacks extravaganza. Seeing OUAT use by my count 5 flashbacks in 4 places (Enchanted Forest, Neverland, Storybrooke, Phoenix) in 3 time periods (pre-curse, curse, and post-curse if Neverland was post-curse) was insanely loopy enough to work.

This is part of the problem I have with how people complain about Laurel - they completely objectify her character. Saying that she only had functions as the love interest and potential Black Canary is wrong IMO. She was betrayed by Oliver when he slept and apparently killed her sister. She's had to support her

It looked like some of them were, but if Santa Pete threw larger ones down first, they would have blocked up the chimney. That's how things work, right?

A. I can't even handle how awesome this was. The review says it all.

When I try to sell it to friends, I often come across the classic "no way, my mom watches that show!"

In addition to Happy Endings, I was hoping Cougar Town might sneak in there. Season 4 was all in 2013, and it was great. 6 out of 14 episodes got an A- or A on this site.

I actually liked her death for how unexpected it was. It would have been better if she had a little bit more development or self-realization before it, but it felt very Lost-like to just kill her off. This show didn't have the guts to kill off Archie OR August, so more death would be welcome.

I'm really enjoying Wonderland. It has so much more narrative momentum than OUAT does at the moment. I mean, the flashback last week was completely relevant and highlighted a character's motivations. You're right about her second wish though, but this time Alice was under considerably more emotional and tactical

I generally like to defend this show and its second and third seasons, but wow, this episode was stalling. Possibly the most pointless flashback ever.

See also: V, Hostages, The Following. At least OUAT doesn't quite slide into D and F territory. Not yet, anyways.

I guess. Maybe it's my American ignorance, but I didn't know there even were flights to Tehran, diplomatic or otherwise.

Of course she wouldn't, but to spend so much time and energy on getting Brody there and just matter-of-factly have Carrie get to Tehran, which should still be an issue even for her, was rather amusing to me.

A simply for Homeland building Brody's entrance into Iran over multiple episodes and then having Carrie just get out of a taxi in Tehran. That "because fuck you, that's why" attitude always works.
