Is that the one with the Smith family
Sounds like a Kubrick joint
Good to know! I actually haven't seen them!
It's really hard to contemplate taking anything off for me, but I would probably go with Beginners, Magic Mike, The Grey, Inception (sorry!), and The Avengers, and make room instead for Short Term 12, Stories We Tell, Selma, Guardians of the Galaxy, and some animated film (there are many worthy, not sure which to go…
Meh. I consider SLC Punk and 13 Ghosts to be guilty pleasures. He was also pretty good in his small role in the Descendants. Surely he can't bear the full brunt of the Scooby Doo movies.
I like how most of the movies they cited belonged on the list
Selma, Short Term 12, and Stories We Tell seem like the most notable omissions
You must have seen Boogie Nights later on
I wonder if it would have made the list if it had been released in five theaters stateside and forgotten and not nominated for any Academy Awards. Not even saying that to be snarky, just genuinely curious.
Oh yeah, that's certainly true. My apologies.
I hate to suggest that you guys "missed" out on including these films because that implies there are others on this list that are not as worthy and deserve to be taken off and I don't know which ones those would be. But the most interesting omissions to me were (and if these were included and I overlooked them please…
I concur. Why snark? She's won an Academy Award and been nominated for two others. She elevates the Hunger Games Franchise and comes across as super likable in interviews. Is our snark directed at her nude leaks? Because that's not entirely fair nor civil.
Egregious, I say!
I really wanted to like Inherent Vice. Give me your best argument for it. Felt like a talking heads movie to me, and I don't mean the band.
Dogtooth #7
I'm not a Gravity or Contact fan either, but considering your hypo literally I would probably rather watch Contact once than be forced to see Gravity thirty times in the theaters.
Lol gotta love nerds complaining about unrealistic canis behavior in a Neeson flick
To be fair, Sorbo was awesome. Sniveling Professor Radsan is my favorite athiest professor straw man in cinema. A chic tract brought to life.
