Yeah, but Rand Paul went absolutely no where in the primary. He's not exactly a strong candidate. And while Clinton is not exactly beloved, I challenge the idea that there is a huge number of powerful dems waiting in the wings. I also wouldn't count Sander's for example, as a slam dunk in a general election.
