    Either that or they're obtuse.
There is a Decider article being shared on Twitter…that ends with hoping they stay "in love" after that fight. I never felt that they were "in love" to begin with. The whole relationship has been weird…or poorly written.

I guess I just don't agree that Hannah has been destructive in Jessa's life…ever. I think most of the ill effects of her selfishness were experienced by Adam…and Hannah.

    Same here.

I can't abide articles or comments that say Adam and Jessa were/are in love or are in a healthy relationship. Nothing has shown that this season. Even before this final episode.

    Agree completely.

Their unresolved feelings about their respective relationships with her was the reason for the fight. They both chose to demonize her as they started this relationship to…I don't know…bond? lessen their guilt? pretend they didn't actually care about her anymore?

I am saying when people want to leave…it usually happens.

I think that is their intention.

That was never going to happen with these characters. They are emotionally messy people. I can't think of one episode where this relationship was featured where they didn't mention Hannah at least once. Possibly the one with Jessa's sister…I can't remember.

He has said in interviews that he would never leave. The contract didn't stop Christopher Abbott from leaving.

And yes…on top of all the other horrible aspects of that fight…it wasn't even their stuff they were destroying. Not entirely.

Jessa and Adam's relationship doesn't have an identity removed from Hannah. That's the problem.

It was originally Adam's apartment in Season One and Ray moved into it when Adam eventually moved in with Hannah and then Adam stayed there during his theater prep and I guess he must have moved back there when he ended things with Mimi-Rose. They are roommates, which is why they were watching TV together in that

I think Hannah was definitely Jessa's best friend. She was the person Jessa called whenever she was in crisis. Hard to say who Hannah would consider her best friend overall, but probably Marnie because she was more reliably around.

I want to know why your pits would be natural and yet you would bother to wax down there.

Was it the username that gave it away?

I thought it showed he actually liked her and understood her more than a lot of people in her life. He was legitimately perturbed that another school might have stolen her away (which I'm sure was some part just inter-school rivalry, but still.)

Yes. And Jessa contributed to that by trying to act like she didn't care about Hannah anymore…frankly they were both acting. So that resentment from both sides has been simmering. Relationships aren't all trips to the carnival and role play sex.

Wow…really? She has had literally nothing to do with their relationship. She has barely said 10 words to the two of them and those words have all been kind or neutral. The "worst" interaction they have had was the laughing fit on the stairs. Adam and Jessa are plenty capable of ruining their own lives.

Well, he did smash up his boat in that same apartment in an earlier season, but trashing all that stuff that is not his and breaking down the door seem like the show is trying to say this relationship pushes him too far…and backwards.
