I'll say this: If too broad a performance can be an issue for you, don't even bother searching out the footage of BBAJ. Listen through the (fairly short) OCR on its own, see how you like it.

You said it better than I could have off the top of my head. I started the Broadway bootleg that someone put on Dailymotion, but I couldn't even make it through. "Ramshackle" is a generous way of putting it, especially considering the praise I'd read beforehand (the fuck, Brantley?). The scenes felt improvisational

I listened to that one in isolation, it was a good one. The score was easily the best part of the show.

I've just been through every single comment, and I love you all. Especially you, Messrs. EvilTwin and Zack. You're all right.

And for every cheap film adaptation, there's… can I say Heathers? Because the songs still break their mental restraining order when I most need sleep.

I tried, BBAJ, and I wanted to like it, I really did, but… Something wasn't there, y'know?

"When I grow uuuup…"

Mmmm, I need to get Murder Ballad. I haven't seen videos anywhere (though Tumblr might help), but just the opening number robbed me of sleep when I heard it.

"Shut up, Rick Berman!"

Monroe, actually.

We'll pay off the debts we ooo-oooo-ooowwe…

Try it again. Chances are you'll embarrass yourself dancing in public when you reach the climax of "96,000."

"We won't be invisible,
We won't be denied!"
Song structure so good it makes me shiver with happy envy. And don't get me started on Daveed Diggs's flow.

Where can we find this quiz?

I'm waiting for a proper nostalgic write-up on David Lubar's short stories. Those "[insert activity] Weenies" collections had some genuinely unnerving stories. One of my two 4th-grade teachers would read some of those out loud, gave me the shivers.
