I've been thinking that they might use it to keep somebody alive. Like one of the regulars is critically injured in the finale and they plug them in while they seek a cure that might take next season to work out.

Done pretty cleanly too.
Aren't Jemma and Daisy somewhere else?
Or maybe they can keep the framework up and running once everything with AIDA is sorted out. Mack can plug in when he is able to get away and goes to visit her. Takes Yo-Yo. I could imagine cutting to a scene of Mack introducing Yo-Yo to Hope in a park in the framework. Maybe Trip standing on the sidewalk—her…
I think that there's still enough time to wrap that up this season. We already saw the evil that he could do when he was Fitzgelus, and it would be repetitive to do that through the next arc. But I'm sure that he'll still be dealing with the fallout about what he did. If we get another season, I think he'll be haunted…
That doesn't rule out Radcliffe and Agnes, does it?
I could see that. Dying to save Simmons?
I wouldn't be so sure that the Fitzsimmons thing is going to work itself out the way we might like. Even if AoS takes place in a distant corner of the Whedonverse, we should expect that painful resolutions are part of the way things are there. Even if both Fitz and Simmons make it through to the end of the season (and…
She's Lockjaw!
I'm not sure why they can't just keep the framework running once they've (hopefully) dispatched AIDA. It could be like the Phantom Zone.
I'd like to see him back with some better special effects.
That will probably be kind of unsatisfying for him. Taking AIDA's reconstituted synthetic soul will be like eating one of those puffed rice cakes.
No kidding. Could they drag this out any more?
Not sure if the real one is completely back. I think we'll get remorseful, tempted Fitz next.
I can't believe how consistently great this show has become. Only two more episodes left?
That would be an impressive way to tie everything up.
That's true, isn't it.
Let's get real and Framework dads in there too.
Yes—that killed me when I heard it.
I think that something will come out of the other end, but it might not be the beautiful AIDA that she and everybody else expects. Who knows what a smidgen of Darkhold will do?
