thanks! I knew there was definitely some way to cheese a few levels because I know the first weekend after release someone had already completed a playthrough on ultra-nightmare. I just assumed it had been patched out by the time I finally heard about it.

I'm one trophy away from plat-ing doom. I need to do UAC on ultra-nightmare. granted, I've only tried twice, but…it did not go well for me.

surprised not to see XCOM 2 on the list! although it certainly didn't have the same magic that EU/EW had even if it was by all metrics a "better" game. I played through it once and tried again about a month later and eventually gave up on the playthrough. not that this is an indictment of its quality since that also

I don't mean her alt-fire, which is amazing, but her second skill - the 25 hp shields. they can't even be replenished for an ally until they die. it'd at least be a little better if a teammate had taken 25+ damage but not died so I could give it back to them. it's a good bonus for heroes like zen, tracer and mercy,

the 1.05 patch for overwatch hit consoles. torbjorn was (rightfully) nerfed although I would have taken his turret not having hitscan targeting over a damage reduction.

its just that angry men on the internet were an important part of my childhood and

mortal kombat, soul calibur, street fighter and guilty gear are all fighting games but to say they're similar beyond that is…well, it's like saying NBA2k16 is the same basic template as FIFA 16. they're really not that similar at all beyond genre label.

cool, thanks for the link! I bought one off some vendor on amazon and I'm not sure how good it actually is. I only tried it briefly going through a VGA-to-HDMI box so I could play it on my big tv but I'll just go through my PC monitor. the VGA cable is definitely not off a site described as "artisanal retromodding."

how does the VGA hookup look? I bought a USB reader to replace the broken drive on my dreamcast and hooked it up using the standard composite cables and it…did not look great on a flatscreen. but I think somewhere I do have a VGA cable for my dreamcast that I might go with if it's worth it.

SFV is better for us olds than a lot of other fighters have been recently, but the learning curve is still very unfriendly even to people who have been around them for years.

SFV is a return to basic mechanics, definitely when compared to SF4. the timing on linking moves is much more lenient and you can deal a ton of damage in a short amount of time with just about anyone, so it's much more methodical and based on mix-ups and conditioning your opponent than it is a game where you need to

never thought about it but i do agree. i guess you lose out on stonehenge, but i feel like that joke only plays once. meanwhile i feel like derek getting stuck in the pod and nigel's guitar collection are funny on every viewing.

scrubs really did end poorly. there was a time when i would have said the second season is one of my favorite seasons of television ever, but the end of its NBC run turned me off so much that i didn't just peace out on its ABC entirety, but it kind of soured me on the earlier seasons, too.

i'm not surprised no one wanted the gig. no one wants to be the person who replaced jon stewart but i bet a ton wanna be the person who replaces the person who replaced jon stewart.

it's about as transparent as 2008's "democrats for mccain" group.

more often than not when I see him it's when the other team hero stacks and does something like 5 torbjorns/1 lucio or 5 winstons/1 lucio. I'm not sure if this is as true as it feels, though. I feel like lucio is the most overpowered hero but also the most underrepresented compared to his power simply because his

the only reason I can come up with for why PS4 has been largely ignoring lucio is because a lot of people simply haven't tried using him on ilios or the first stage of lijiang tower.

Oh yeah, if they're that expensive it may not even out or be a tiny profit at the end. Most of the time when using a box you can get a small piece of loot to sell but it's been so long since I've played Awakening I can't remember if it evens out in the end or not.

Also in Awakening, you can buy items that when used on the map, make an enemy unit appear so you can skirmish. Earlier spots on the map have lower-level enemies, so you can quickly get a handle on where you should level up someone like Donnel early on versus later in the game.

I play Overwatch when the wife's not home. When she's home and whittling down the steam catalog with the TV I switch to Steamworld Heist on my Vita, which is very good! I like that it defaults to an ironman-type mode but that the penalties for failure aren't really that harsh. I still try to keep all my robots from
