once lagertha finds out kalf sent someone to kill bjorn, he's finished. and considering what she did to einar, kalf be in for a world of serious hurt.
the scenes with bjorn have been so intense — i'm chilled just watching. and why isn't that boy wearing a hat when he's outside!
is althelstan's son with judith, alfred,

i saw an interview with ludwig and he's quite funny. the fight with the bear came up and he said he was surprised to read that the bear actually had a more extensive tv/film history than any of the actors on the show…

But haven't there been clips of him in a pit surounded by snakes..

enough already with the nasty comments about aslaug. she was raised a princess and clearly hooked up with ragnar for the status — fortunate for her she was able to produce all of those sons for him, or he would have cast her aside the minute that first daughter popped out.
she's been angling to take over since she

the actor who portrayed ubbe in tlk was so good.. and his fight with uhtred was brutal.

just a shoutout to skarsgard for the incredible physical prowess displayed during those escape scenes.. running over and thru those rocks and the stream had to have been exhausting.. and depressing as hell when the director shouted 'take 2'…

re kalf.. yeah, when he first appeared, i thought he came off as kind of a weak prettyboy; but damn, he certainly proved himself one ruthless badass with that crossbow attack.. and just as scheming. lagertha sure has an impact on the men in her life.. lol

nah, lagertha is not subservient to anyone. he's more likely feeling she won't now carry out her promise to kill him… besides, he's witnessed what a badass warrior she is, and he wants her on his side.

am so going to miss fimmel; even with other interesting characters. he's just amazing in that role.

no… she wants him dead, which would eliminate one competitor for the throne and secure her sons' ascendance… instead of lagertha's son…

the bush clan reportedly purchased 300,000 acres of land in paraguay a few years ago … that just so happens to sit atop the largest aquifer, Acuifero Guaran, in south america.

since he'd been running a fever, i wonder if just placing him in the cool mud bath was part of the treatment to bring it down… no idea about the herbs/plants used..

i agree; esp with the distress iseult displayed — she sees that the sacrifice will be uhtred's son in order to save alfred and, ultimately, wessex.
and dawson's performance is absolutely incredible and heartbreaking.

uhtred's not dumb; he just lacks impulse control. when he takes the time, he's thoughtful and certainly good at strategizing (firing the ships).
leofric turning against him seems to have been building, and was particularly evident when he dismissed himself at the dinner after witnessing the argument between uhtred and

damn, sorry to see ubba go; but that was an amazing exit.
and they're running out of viking leaders to challenge uhtred. but odda the younger looks like a good saxon replacement — that sniveling, lying little shit.

uh, i suspect that concoction was used to induce the miscarriage… you might want to rethink your hallucinogens.

note that the poster is from oklahoma… where the belief that the earth is 6000 years old is accepted as gospel…

in complete agreement with all the praise in these comments; so let me just give a nod to the costuming and sets used.. just amazing detail and seeming authenticity.
an excellent series on all levels.
