This is one of my favorite aspects of the show!

I think if you try hard enough you can draw a fairly straight line to/from the Stones to any popular genre contemporary to the mid-late 20th century. Thats just unavoidable when a band THAT pervasive on radio (the gate-keepr at the time) puts out THAT MUCH material.
