The first True Detective felt like it was made because Nic Pizzolatto had something he wanted to express and the second one felt it was made because of the demands if television. HBO shouldn't just outright kill it, they should just have a relationship with it the way they do Curb, and wait until Pizzolatto actually

Pointing out a typo? Get a life!

She was underserved in Trophy Wife, too.

Yeah, this is (part of) the reason I can't stand Horror. What would be dismissed as bad writing in any other genre is defended as a deliberate choice in Horror.

A self-proclaimed nerd who still collects Beanie Babies, Mizono is an absurdist comedian

I don't think it tops the Keegan episode, but this was really good. I was surprised they used Zouks in a normal episode, I would have thought they would have saved him for a live episode.

"Have you ever wondered what the worst idea humanly possible would look like? I think you'd find it would go a little something like this…"

The jokes, mostly.

I'm the opposite. Really like his podcast. Really like his stand up. Don't like this show. I think it blew a really great promise (man who's used up every second chance asks for one more) for a more run of the mill sitcom that was more comfortable than funny. Nah, Top 5 Hitlers, Michael Jordan Moustache, white guy speaking for the Asian community. Great gags a plenty.

I can't help but feel the critical drubbing this episode has received has something to do with the people reviewing the episode being the targets of the episode.

Before his best album? That's a shame.

To be honest, I don't see the difference between that example and any of the other call backs they have in any episode.

So basically, when you see an episode.

To be fair, in improv, the opening (which the interview is a form of) is not meant to be referenced so directly. It's just meant to stimulate ideas which are supposed to be jumped from A -> C (i.e. if someone said Apple, you might go Apple -> apple seeds -> Johnny Appleseed, so you'd use Johnny Appleseed) and then

Yeah, I have this issue too. I listen to podcasts at work, and while I can pause CBB and go back to it without really needing to remind myself what's going on, with Spontaneanation I'm clueless if I have to do that.
