Amy is far better at being an adult than Jake is, seeing as he didn't even know that taxes were due in April.

Are we… supposed to laugh… at the musical performance?

Jay Pharoah's Carson is a gem.

"Do you ever think you'll play someone who reads a book?"

The only reason it might appear better is because it's only a 60-minute rerun and they've cut out most of the miss stuff.

I hope that when a handful of other alums return for this episode, they don't push out the current cast from almost all the sketches. That's what happened when Samberg hosted.

The main reason I was confident that Jake/Amy would be handled well is because Schur is co-running this show.

Sidenote: Your icon is adorable and I'm happy every time I see it.

I thought the Rosa/Terry storyline was really nice. At first I thought they'd been pairing them up too often this season (three times already), but I liked that they introduced some people from Rosa's life and also followed up on that story from Season 1 where Terry finds out Rosa went to ballet school.

I still think they would have been useful? Sure, mouths are free, but what if you have to say something to another cop in the field? Better to have it on your shoulder.

Are cupcakes in Brooklyn generally that expensive?!

I actually just rewatched her monologue on the NBC site and though they didn't change anything about the dress coming off late, they seemed to have fixed it so that the GoPro shot was included.

Oh, you're right, sorry! I forgot about that, I just remembered the song she performed.

Did Banks mention the movie Mockingjay at all? I assumed she was there to do so because in the past three years, three of her co-stars have hosted.

I appreciate that they started with that message rather than an actual sketch. Cecily did a really lovely job in the cold open.

Are a lot of people backpedaling? I don't understand the need for it.

I blame at least a portion of the demise of Selfie on its title. It was fitting, sure, but also initially convinced a lot of people to not even give it a chance.

Fair point.

I like how well they're handling Jake/Amy. They don't hand them an A-plot every week but there's still always some really nice moments or throwaway lines to acknowledge their relationship.

I thought the reason it did was because it was reviewed so well when it first premiered. Kind of similar to this show, in that ratings weren't outstanding but was still well-received by those who were watching it.
