I will fully cop to not having liked Sansa in GOT, but in FFC, her chapters were some of the only ones I found remotely interesting. She is so clearly biding her time, waiting for her moment, and building her manipulation skills in the meantime.

Excellent! Having read all the books, I'm not terribly concerned about spoilers: everything beforehand, I figure, is background info/worldbuilding/speculation. So thank you!

I am not, because I am a weird geek and all the fantasy novels I read in my adolescence were written by women (or Roald Dahl/Neil Gaiman). But it sounds worth looking into, so thanks!

Thanks to @avclub-0ae7484a9f3bbd2a21df420050c032ae:disqus, I now recall the character, even if not his name.

The only Brynden I remember is the Blackfish.

I'm in the same boat. I liked Hunger, but it was so painful to watch that I had to pause it about every 15 minutes to look around the room and remember who I was. This sounds far worse, and seeing it in theaters doesn't allow me that option. But on the other hand, given my monthly budget, I can barely justify spending

I feel like every time a video surfaces of him doing, well, ANYTHING, there's at least one person in the comments saying this exact thing. Because he IS adorable!

The REAL contradiction is the phrase "hotshot editor."

He is one of those men who I acknowledge are objectively extremely good-looking, but who do nothing for me.

THIRD unhealthiest.

But he could just pick up the Pond's in any drugstore!

He desperately needs a good editor, which is why he wrote some of the best episodes under RTD, but all the best since he took over were written by other people (except, OK, "The Eleventh Hour" and "A Christmas Carol").

Yeah, I would definitely not recommend watching them in the order I did! But "Blink" is still such a fun stand-out of an episode that it's still great, even knowing the mythology.

@avclub-83de02c3cfc3634de1279cbc17a8fbae:disqus Oh, that's exactly what I meant, sorry! It makes the EPISODE less scary, but I don't think it makes the ANGELS less scary.

I would argue that this is a failing of the episode rather than an inherent fact about the Angels that makes them less frightening. I'm not sure I believe they're that discerning in their choice of victims.

I actually skipped "Blink" on first-run watch, because I was a chicken when it came to horror and everyone I knew told me it was SO SCARY. Then, as the show grew in popularity, it built up into this iconic, terrifying episode, and I still refused to watch it. So I wound up seeing all the later episodes with the

FUN FACT: I just read the book that Practical Magic was based on, and it's very good and actually quite different in tone from the movie. Really dreamy and beautiful. Highly recommended if you like the kind of light fantasy/magical realism where superstitions are treated as fact!
