@avclub-93e06678bf43969ed7f3b3377605aa8c:disqus That's why I trust their recommendation.
Clear alcohol.
I'm a sucker for dance routines that incorporate noise made by the dancers, especially stomping. It's like ballet + clog dancing in a way I really enjoy.
The review feels awfully joyful for an obligation-B. Even if the reviewer thinks it stinks, they seem to have enjoyed watching it.
I actually love that choice: women in her station had only a few absurdly expensive dresses for formal occasions. The emphasis was on quality, not variety, though wearing the same dress to every single party would seem to indicate that it was the only one a woman could afford. While dinner with the family was a formal…
@LJo1:disqus @avclub-4caf6aa0375b2499ebfe7e971b36eee3:disqus Portuguese sparkling whites are the shit. In college I spent a month on an archaeological dig in northern Portugal where we all lived on a vineyard. They charged us 2 Euros per bottle, and that was only because the year before had been too damp for many…
This isn't even a rare thing in New York. There are dozens.
@Kumagoro:disqus Will has is armed throughout the series. Towards the end, Hannibal went to Jack to ask him to revoke Will's license to carry a gun.
Hey, it's been renewed! No need for guilt. :)
I bought it on iTunes because, as blatantly cash-grabby as that was, it was also a great way for NBC to measure how many people liked the show enough to pay money for a missing episode. In the debate over whether it would be renewed, I wanted to weigh in on the side of "Yes please."
A man like Hannibal tells you you're eating veal, you agree with him even if you think otherwise. Really, who knows better: you, or the sophisticated gourmand who prepared the meal? You're probably just mistaken, best not draw attention to it.
I'd seen/read nothing; everything I knew about Hannibal Lecter was through cultural osmosis. I had no problems jumping right in from the beginning. I think they made it that way intentionally: the people who will be able to watch and enjoy the show are such a small group anyway, why cut any of them out? (Besides, it…
I don't know, I think it's REALLY funny at times. I have certainly laughed aloud more than once each episode. It's a very black, sideways humor, more consisting of odd juxtapositions than actual jokes, but it does help leaven the intensity for me.
@avclub-30016cd5b9045be8de99ad5f1cbfd9af:disqus This is another of Bryan Fuller's things: he puts one magical person into an otherwise nonmagical world. Wonderfalls & Pushing Daisies were such whimsical shows that they didn't require any justification, but Hannibal is much darker and doesn't as easily allow for that…

The difference is that Jack trusts both Hannibal and Alana. He wasn't accusing Alana of faking it, just Will. A man with an actual lack of spatial awareness wouldn't be able to fake a correct clock, so the question isn't "Could the man we're chasing down as a probable murderer have faked dysfunction?" but "Are you…
@avclub-63310851ee32f9c4c295c3d3f6431448:disqus Hah, I'm pretty sure mine was "YOU FUCKING LIAR," so we were clearly on the same wavelength!
I'm not willing to go that far, but I am ok with never having had Mockingbird Lane (as delightful as the pilot was).
The numbers are part of the test, which is a real and fairly common test for Alzheimer's and more. http://alzheimers.about.com…
