Their last two albums would have had surprisingly decent material if 1. the previous two albums weren't awesome and 2. the last two albums were less than excellent.

Going by the track length (18 minutes!), looks like they're going even more into the proggish direction started with A Matter of Life and Death, which is pretty cool.
Well, to be fair, nobody was interested in a X-Men prequel in 2011 either, and Vaughn made it work.
Vaughn managed to make two Mark Millar comics into pretty enjoyable movies.
