This perfectly describes the godawful "Voyage of the Damned".

I find "Voyage of the Damned", "Stolen Earth"/"Journey's End", "The Impossible Planet"/"THe Satan Pit" and "The Sontaran Stratagem"/"The Poison Sky" to be awful beyond reason.

Out of experience, the best introductory episode to Doctor Who would be "The Eleventh Hour". Each character is nicely introduced and it perfectly renders the sense of adventure and fun of the show.

I feel grief for her too, I can't seem to control it.
