Zooey? I thought it was Hannah Simone he was trying to seduce, what with her dark, raven-eyed Apollonia/Vanity look.

I agree with above. The main problem with Purple Rain is cutting down "Computer Blue", the longer version of which takes it from a throwaway track (for that album) to a stone-cold classic. Hell, if they would have cut it down and somehow included the Hallway speech, it would have made a big difference.

He did have a cop standing by to arrest him. If he couldn't escape the handcuffs, he'd become a sex offender. It was the most riveting half-hour of television ever.

Yeah, but what about that Dan In Real Life sequel?

They're graphic novels one-man shows!

Dag's obviously got SOMETHING going for him.

I've seen episodes from the Doumanian year. I truly don't think they're as bad as it has been during the last few years. If the writer strike never happened, it would be remembered much more fondly.

No. It's recognizing that these things can be true at different points. Norm can make a room laugh, but he can also excel when only one or two people in the room are getting it. In contrast, Meyers is of the eager-to-please school who would probably break into cold sweats if an audience turned on him.

Bullshit. He didn't have the benefit of the braying hyenas that SNL trucks into the studio every week nowadays, but if you listen to any of the audio-only clips floating around, its clear he got laughs.

Ugh. Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon are the worst things to ever happen to the chair. The only reason Colin Jost could happen is because those two milquetoast voids, although I'll give Fallon and even Jost the benefit of not having the unearned smug self-satisfaction of Meyers. Meyers' technique: make some toothless

Nothing is like Wonder Showzen. A once-in-an-epoch show that could only exist by several overlapping freak occurrences.

Unfortunately, even if its great, I don't see how this won't be another Strip Mall situation: ultimately too expensive to renew for CC.

"Revenge/Getting Rich/Aching" is not only the funniest episode of the series, but if I recall, its also a solid primer for newcomers looking for a second opinion after the pilot, as it largely avoids much of the serialized stuff.

The show basically revolves around the notion that "a show were a guy actually reviews an array of life experiences" would ultimately be unsustainable and destroy the guy's life.

That was Brando!

The Greatest Weekend Update Host Ever!

Season 21 is awkward, but it's in fact Season 20 that, alongside 6 and 11, is considered a year that everyone would rather forget.

From your description, I'm going to assume Colossus's endgoal was to find a way to keep women from talking to you during the game.

The first time I've found her attractive. I…. have issues, don't I?

Or, you know, he can become better at editing his movies at the screenplay stage, like he used to. His first three films have probably less deleted scenes combined than his last two individually. I'll ignore Death Proof, since that was kind of released in full.
