Very strong response — I definitely agree that the idea of reaching out to someone that you expect to support you, only to be denied, really ramps up the tension the film so expertly employs. The idea of being so alone is pretty damn scary. I think a big part of what the film does so well is that's an idea that

I guess that's why people are starting to sue about it.

I think maybe it shows me that you're an asshat. This might blow your mind, but I think people should consider other people's experiences when they're in public.

The guy is certainly a creep of the highest order (I never said otherwise), but I think I can catch a break for making the assumption that you like the movie your screen name is based on…

But Swimfan is a winner? Congratulations, you get today's Contrarian Award. Ugh. Welcome to the AV Club, I guess.

It's narcissistic at best. She couldn't give a fuck about anyone else besides herself. Not exactly awesome behaviour.

Read the comments. Lots of people seem to be.

No, that's not what I'm talking about. Look at how many of the comments basically say "it really doesn't bother me when people text during movies." The guy is a total ass for suing her but that doesn't mean it's okay to be the oblivious, obnoxious narcissist who compromises everyone else's enjoyment for her own.

Why are so many people here okay with assholes texting during a movie??? She's a bitch, he's an asshole, everyone involved is awful and should fuck off. Meanwhile, leave your fucking phone alone when you're in the goddam theatre.

Literally hundreds of millions of people say otherwise.

Proceedings came to an abrupt halt on Monday as Preparation H Raymond interrupted defence testimony.

I'm not sure that Alston does…I'll recommend Alan Sepinwall's reviews over at Uproxx if you're interested in reading what someone who HAS watched the show has to say.

A French super-fan will have a hard time translating the prayer at the beginning because the prayer was Hebrew.

Usually it's not the show that chooses to block its content, it's the country. As in, I'm currently in Canada and certain content is blocked because of archaic telecom laws, not because (for the sake of argument) NBC doesn't want Canadians to watch SNL clips. If NBC/SNL had its way, anyone could watch, but the state

It is silly. Your other points are valid, but we're not going to have a military coup in our lifetimes.

I don't think the military would support him…the pumpkin has alienated enough of the brass that I suspect a 'stand down' order would be in effect (of course, it's silly to think a military coup might take place in the US).

Imagine if America were more like, say, Venezuela…heads would be on pikes by now…

Links please. Do your job.

Can't necessarily argue with that. But I'd say that Until Dawn manages to create real tension between the 'action' spots.
