YES thank you, I feel like the only person who even remembers that show. I saw the whole run, and you're right, fascinating stuff.

jesus christ. I used to read Archie comics when I was a kid, and I remember my mom picking one up and being horrified by the sexism but I didn't know what she meant.
I love that show fiercely and I agree wholeheartedly. My knee jerk reaction in the first episode was 'aw man the killer/rapist in 90's teen horror flicks is the protagonist?!' but after the first episode I was fully on board.
Hm, see I'm not sure what you mean by hammy and ridiculous for Sherlock. Yes his character does outrageous things, but I think you're missing a lot of the subtle notes he's bringing to the role. And I thought he did as well as everyone else in Into Darkness, like you said there wasn't much to the character in the…
Benedict Cumberbatch is the first that came to mind. I sat through Parade's End AND the Fifth Estate for that otter-faced fop. guy can act the hell out of anything though.
I recently discovered the Stone Roses and feel stupid for not knowing about them sooner.
I'm currently reading Amy Shumer's book (more poignant than I expected) and Modern Romance by Aziz Anzari. It's alternately fascinating and fucking terrifying.
that movie was filmed in my hometown, and many friends and acquaintances ended up as extras. the MST3K version of the movie was the most popular film to be checked out at the local video store. truly a classic.
I thought of that as well. as a huge 30 Rock/Tina Fey fan as well as a Martin Freeman fangirl, I thought this would be a hoot. It's still a good movie, but man the tonal shift from the trailers was jarring, to say the least.
I'm currently on a huge Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros kick, so this looks right up my alley. yeah it looks cheesy but the music will be good at least. the guy playing Joe looks a little too pretty though.
Taco Hell's double decker tacos.
oh yeah, Release was a doozy. Light Years had me losing it as well. damn this wonderful band!
nice list!
Rival is my bucket list song to hear live…they almost never play it.
I remember hearing Who You Are for the first time and literally being breathless.
they opened with Low Light on Saturday at Wrigley, and I started crying like a bitch. hearing that song and watching the sun set over the stadium was insane. great album.
I wouldn't say it was better, just very different. Saturdy was more introspective and meandering, and Monday was more of a straight-ahead rocker. both shows are good IMO.
In My Tree, Footsteps, WMA, Rearviewmirror, Evolution, Indifference….shit, there's too many!
I just came back from seeing them for two nights at Wrigley field and am on a high right now…so funny this article was posted because my only complaint was that more No Code wasn't played.
HA! shit, I could be Mrs. Turnipseed right now if I had played my cards right!
