Such a good point re Sara and Ray's impact on the timeline. Are they deliberately trying to make Rip look full of shit? If so, it's working.

Obviously this is just one of those situations where they had the great idea of a stunt storyline which gradually falls to crap when they can't actually get any other established characters to throw in the mix.

I've watched it and enjoyed it. I suspect though, like Kath and Kim, it may not translate well.

I probably won't ever jump on the Darville train. I intensely disliked both his and Karen Gillan's characters in Doctor Who.

But does she need to have battle scars? One of the good things about Felicity is her enduring optimism and her ability to bring a bit of levity. I don't think it's necessary for every character to have a crippling backstory.

Do you think they're actually pushing that? I honestly can't judge if the Russian chick is supposed to like Oliver. I mean, before she found out he'd killed her brother.

Don't forget Rip. He has all the charisma of a limp bit of lettuce.

Or did he just hate himself? One suspects that if Oliver actually ever saw someone for his PTSD he'd be told something like that.

They need to do a better job of pushing the off-season releases like Vixen and the Arrow comics. The first year of Arrow comics were just one off stories set within season 1, but the second year was a proper fill in between seasons 2 and 3 that more people need to check out because it's awesome.

Maybe Katie Cassidy has finally got sick of being the sidekick's sidekick's sidekick on a show where she was originally the second lead.

Stop getting my hopes up!

My favourite Sad Oliver bit will always be the season 3 episode where he told Digg that he didn't want to die alone down in the lair. *Sniff*

Stephen Amell has always said that he made a deliberate choice to play season 1 Oliver as stiff. I think his acting was different enough in the season 1 flashbacks to make that believable.

It all feels a bit like Jafar seeking out Aladdin to send him into the cave of wonders. Complete with the cave.

But, you'd think that as someone who didn't have a father for most of her life, Felicity would appreciate the fact that Oliver put his fatherly instincts ahead of everything else. I suspect that if he'd told her and risked his chance of knowing William, the writers would have spun it that she saw him as not caring

He only told her because she took the DNA test result from Barry because the Flash wasn't fast enough to shove it in his pocket without her seeing, despite him being able to go fast enough to go back in time.

Especially once news that Moira died got out. It was pretty obvious the Queen fortune was on its way out then.

I'm assuming Darhk's power made him head honcho in HIVE and whatever plans they had will be continued without him, possibly with Malcolm stepping up.

Got to agree. They built Slade up as a brother/mentor figure for Oliver and to have that turn around to such a vicious hatred was great to watch.

I personally don't think she's in the wrong, but I still felt anger at Felicity this episode because I was annoyed at the bullshit contrived reason the writers came up with to end what was a healthy and functional relationship.
