This pleases me, but at the same time, fuck time travel. It has the potential to make important plot points miss their mark because in the back of your head you're thinking, time travel can undo this.

Agreed, that was unexpectedly great for Damien to be all "Oh, hey, this is William, he's staying with us for a while".
You're not the only one. I wonder if I would care more if they'd actually made him Connor Hawke? Maybe?
I don't think it's anywhere near as soapy as the first half of season one with the ridiculous Tommy/Laurel/Oliver love triangle.
We are talking about Oliver Queen here, biggest man slut pre-island that ever lived. If anyone has more than one secret son, it's Oliver.
There's always the option of some long lost uncle in some random city.
Agree about Thea and Oliver's talk. I can't believe that Thea would give him a pass and encourage him to keep lying by omission when she's had so many secrets kept from her for her "protection".
He's not really stuck though. They live in different cities, he could easily tell Felicity and then separately start working at Samantha to change her mind about him not telling anyone. Or just tell her to go to hell and take her to court for access. Hell, he's even got a lawyer in his team to help him with that.
I don't think this was a C episode when you consider it as a whole. It's certainly nowhere near as bad as the Arrow half of the Flash crossover.
Hasn't Barry phased through walls before? Pretty sure he even did it just a few episodes ago.
Arrow at least benefits from having a strong villain story as the overarching storyline. Zoom's boring. They really need to go for a non-speedster villain next year.
There's an entail on Downton meaning it can only be inherited by male heirs and not female. As they have no sons that means a distant cousin will inherit. First it was the one that died on the Titannic then Matthew. Essentially the new earl could kick out Cora and the girls and leave them basically with no money.…
That said, the earl is still fairly young and likely to live for a while yet despite exploding ulcers. There's also Tom and even potentially Edith to look after Downton until George was of age if Mary were preoccupied with another estate.
Definitely it was about control of the house. Depending on whether there was an entail on the estate, they could also end up with money/property being left to Isobel and not them. Presumably she's also have rights to a dower house or one of their other properties.
I think you can question why it's regarded as a "prestige drama" and continues to attract nominations for stuff like the Golden Globes and the Emmys and still enjoy watching it and commenting on it.
Going from under butler to footman would be a pretty big demotion, though.
I suppose it comes down to personal opinion on beauty. I always thought Sybil was luminously beautiful, whereas I consider Mary too cold and haughty to be really beautiful. Elegant and handsome, perhaps, but I think you need some warmth for true beauty. I think Michelle Dockery is better looking when she's herself…
Shouldn't that be CHARACTER ACTRESS MARGO MARTINDALE?
Sybil was really the beauty of the family and, as the eldest, Mary was the one expected to make the match with the Earl's heir to secure the estate for their family, leaving Edith in the middle.
Seeing Deadshot in Earth 2 on Flash made me both ridiculously happy and also annoyed that they killed him off on Arrow for the sake of the Suicide Squad movie.
