It kind of fits with Oliver's act first, think later attitude to just agree to Samantha's demands. But it's so fucking irritating. So now instead of Team Arrow discussions on how to keep the son safe and something for Damien Darhk to target, we get another shitty secret that's going to come out at the worst possible

I actually assumed that we'd see Sara as well considering the reason given for Laurel being in Central City.

I'll agree that Oliver's had fairly good motivations to lie, but it's usually involved him doing really stupid things as well, hence why Felicity should be concerned.

"Felicity, Barry rang. He has this thing…anyway, I'll be back in two days."

Seriously, that was the most fucked up thing the writers have done since deciding Felicity crying would be a good idea.

Yeah, you could see the real effort Melissa Benoist was putting into that seen, whereas with Laurel it just looks like she's adopting a pose and opening her mouth. I like the idea of the Canary Cry, but it looks so stupid being performed.

I got the feeling that it was more that Moira didn't want Oliver being saddled with a child with some random one night stand when she (and Robert) presumably still believed he was capable of Great Things if he just got his act together.

Really, though, Oliver has a history of deciding to do stupid shit without telling anyone. Given that history and him starting to act a bit shifty, it's somewhat understandable that Felicity called him out.

I think it was ok, but ultimately a waste of Spader. Part of his appeal is actually watching him and the little tics he has.

This episode is the only misstep in season 4 for me. The change in tone (and lack of Lance!!) did not work like the change of tone for Flash last night.

That's exactly what it felt like. Arrow done with the Flash touch does not work at all.

This was a great episode, although it really felt more like an episode of Arrow than of Flash.

It was legitimately a great episode, but it really felt more like an episode of Arrow than an episode of Flash, even with the cuts back to the lab with Caitlin and Harry. It'll be interesting to see what Arrow is like in Central City.

I think one and two were Oliver and Thea came in for number three that pushed Savage over the balcony.

In the case of Laurel, there are legitimate criticisms about the writing of the character and the actress's portrayal. You can also point to Felicity, Thea, Sara, even Moira, as successful and liked female characters on Arrow.

Arrow's legitimately great and worth the time to watch from the start. It gets off to a slow start, but the back half of season one and all of season two is fantastic. Season three had a dip in quality, but it's nowhere near as bad as some people say. I think being up against a very good first season of Flash makes it

I had to ponder this for a moment, because being Australian I pronounce Hawk with a short a sound, so it sort of rhymes with pork.

Really? Aside from all the resurrection storyline and the intense levels of stupidity, stubbornness and more stupidity we saw from Laurel, she's kind of just been there this season. What else do you think she's done to make her amazing (I'm genuinely curious at your perspective)?

Thea's re-emerging bloodlust really makes me think she'll be the one in the grave. I think killing her off is more likely than them finding some mystical solution to the problem that the League has never heard of.

The arrow catching raises the question of why Oliver doesn't switch to exploding arrows in those instances.
