Some comments. Someone introduced me to another site that does a brilliant recap of the show. I am not a fan of recaps because I don't need anyone to tell me what the episode was about. And quite often, the person writing the recap has an ax to grind and don't get the nuances nor the complexities of the episodes.

Fitz was upset with Andrew for betraying him he didn't care about Mellie getting her dusty clock cleaned. Shonda took great pains to state this.

You hit the nail on the head. It seems to me that lots of what Scandal shows is done, because of disrespect to viewers. Shows have a cannon (or at least they are supposed to) but Scandal plays loose with its cannon. And this is rather annoying. I suspect that Shonda and her writers throw anything against the wall and

You believe in it irrespective of who you are dealing with. An adult should not allow anyone to have that much power over them. They should also not be upset when the person who they do not love go out and find someone who loves them.

AH OK. I wasn't aware of that.

10 including Mellie

Name one show on TV that has not caved to moral relativism?

OK. Thanks for the recap. I always fast forward when Jake is on the screen.

Did he not make his own decision to not rescind the Brandon Bill? Did he not make his own decision to go out in public and get Olivia? Did he not make his own decision to get rid of both Mellie and Cyrus? Did he not make his own decision to say fvck you to bigots?

Fitz turning up at Olivia's apartment I suspect will be the game changer for Olivia. You usually want your love around when sh*t has hit the fan and while she asked him what the hell he was doing, I could see that she was immensely pleased that he turned up at her door. That little squeal of "Fitz" in the elevator

I don't see the straw men in this episode. Lots of what was depicted was spot on.

I don't think Fitz declared war. He just gave the go ahead to send troops in without an official war declaration. Only Congress can declare war and give the President the approval to do so. But of course this is Scandal so anything is possible in this show.

It triggers my fingers doing a fast forward on the remote.

Scandal is known for its many plot holes. The thing is, many viewers don't care about them as long as there is an OMG moment for wallowing in. I and a few others mentioned this dichotomy of family many episodes ago.

Cyrus plays Mellie like the proverbial puppet master.
What I find quite amusing- if this was Fitz, I would be seeing posts of how weak Fitz is.

You've got a point there.

I screamed when Fitz turned up at Olivia's door. She has just watched FITZ chose her again!

Damn right he did. Holla @Fitz!

Mellie thrives on snatching defeat from victory.Just leave her alone and she will do this again and again. I would love to see Olivia handle her for once.

Excellent post.
