Fitz turning up at Olivia's apartment I suspect will be the game changer for Olivia. You usually want your love around when sh*t has hit the fan and while she asked him what the hell he was doing, I could see that she was immensely pleased that he turned up at her door. I don't see the straw men in this episode. Lots of what was depicted was spot on.

I don't think Fitz declared war. He just gave the go ahead to send troops in without an official war declaration. Only Congress can declare war and give the President the approval to do so. But of course this is Scandal so anything is possible in this show.

Scandal is known for its many plot holes. The thing is, many viewers don't care about them as long as there is an OMG moment for wallowing in. I and a few others mentioned this dichotomy of family many episodes ago.
